C7 Corvette Z06

Nice leaked info on the Z06. Considering the higher torque than horsepower, it doesn't seem this model is supercharged or it has a much different setup than the LS9 to provide that amount of ft-lbs. If it does become available, however long in the future it is, I hope it's customizable - unlike the C7 was in GT5, and the M4 in GT6 now.

It is supercharged.

I personally think that should be the ZR1 due to all of its aerodynamic splitters and stuff. They should make the ZO6 a bit less agressive in the aero department and beef up the power.

Speaking of Jalopnik, finally an answer regarding the paddle shifters. The Z06 will have an optional 8 speed Automatic with torque converter.

Awesome car, superior engine and striking and aggressive looks to boot. Good job with the Stingray being affordable and fast, this car will knock the boots off of the much fancier or schmancier Euro competition, that or it will put up a serious fight.

That being said, how does this relate to GT6? Unless they are going to put it ingame

Neat no doubt but I liked the C6 trim lines better. Lightweight high displacement racing engine on the Z06 and all out supercharged madness with the ZR-1. To me the C6 formula worked. At this rate the ZR-1 will have to be the starship Enterprise to top the new Z06.

Still though I'm really interested in another bit of news that floated about quietly and that's the very possible return of the RPO B2K package from Callaway. Take a C7 stingray, better aero, brakes, AND Twin-Turbo! (you can even make it into an aerowagon/breadvan) Can't wait for that it looks AWESOME.

There is a leak video of the C7 Z06 testing at the ring when testing the 2014 Camaro Z/28 and it will run a low 7 minute lap time. Faster than that of the C6 Zr1
