Cadillac CTS-V in GT5

As someone else said, the 300C's tail looks awfully similar to the CTS-V, however, the front is nowhere near even remotely close.

Yeah, agreed. Although the Cadillac's tail lights are narrower and more blade-like.
As an interesting aside... we get the 300C here in NZ, both as sedans and wagons, but the wagon is actually a Dodge Magnum with a 300C front chucked on. I reckon the Magnum front looks heaps better!

I'll never understand the distribution choices of some manufacturers. For a while Subaru NZ even rebadged the new shape WRX hatch as an 'S-GT'. WTF!

Either way, if was is in the game it would've been found by now, especially if it just shows up in some A-Spec event. If people found holes in the barriers on various tracks, they would have found a car showing up in a race everyone runs. There are a few million people playing the game, running that race over and over.

Being a good car doesn't make it special. Admit it, it's not a £50,000000 ultra-rare hypercar is it? It wouldn't make sense for it to be hidden.

Anyway, I agree with your latter point. If the GT community can find obscure glitches, then they'd have no problem finding a hidden car. 👍

It's not "super secret hide it for later" special, no, but it is currently the fastest sedan in production.
In any event, yeah, not a chance it's in the game right now. :cheers:

You sure it wasn't that Cadillac concept? I never saw the CTS-V anywhere and it shouldn't be hard to miss something that hideous.

The CTS-V is not hidous at all. I think it actually looks good for a car from Detroit. I think it looks better than a BMW M5. Almost as good looking as a
M3 E93. I also like the Jag XFR witch is in GT5.

I was thinking he was talking about the coupe. The sedan looks better. Its just that c pillar on the coupe that I don't like.

Panamera Turbo is faster straight line and on the Nurburgring. STI broke the record last year too. It isn't the fastest production sedan anymore, yet they still claim it to be...

I wasn't aware the Panamera is faster around the Ring. If so, I guess it's not anymore. Though, arguably the Panamera is more of ... hunchbacky hatch ... thing. :sly:

That STI they used on the ring is not a production car though. It was a one off prototype, they never claimed otherwise.

edit: According to fastestlaps.com the B7 RS4 is faster round the ring than the CTS-V as well. What the heck GM?

It's American Muscle. Detroit will tell you exactly that, even it's not the truth. All to sell more units. It's the American way.
 
The CTS-V (sedan) is an awesome car. I saw a CTS-V coupe a week ago, and while I prefer the sedan, the coupe definitely was a head turner.
 
I drove one of these a monts ago and damn are you guys missing out. A car like that with an engine like that... Flooring it put goosebumps on the back of my neck.

No doubt, the car is all about muscle, nothing more, nothing less and thats how it is sold. Remember, thats a detuned ZR-1 LS9 motor.... It was fun to see it destroy the snobby euro machines.
 
So... I haven't been able to back up my outrageous CTS-V claim yet, because my basement (with my GT5 setup) flooded last week, and everything that ain't drying out is packed up.

Looks like my Fanatec wheel survived and still works (even though the powerpack was FULL of water). PS3 is okay too.

So, I'll keep trying on and off to prove this, but the heat-of-the-chase has been quelled somewhat by the flood.

I agree with being crazy. ;) There's never been a single CTS-V in the game, nor has anyone else in this thread said they saw it.
 
I'm not necessarily agreeing with the OP, but the GT5 car list is outdated and there are cars in the game that are not on that list. They've added cars in the update patches. I've tested it myself by removing all of the patches and loading my save with some of said cars.

The GT-R GT Academy SPECIAL and the the Camaro SS Edge, just to name a few. The data for them is not on the original disc.

They're a form of DLC...the Camaro is from Edge Shaving Gel, and the GT Academy Special is for driving one lap for the Euro GT Academy. Of course they're not on the disc.

Your post makes it seems like hidden cars have been placed under our noses, instead the only cars that aren't on the disc are DLC. That includes Chromlines, Stealths, etc.

The updates total about a gig of data. I guarantee you that there are other cars in there that the public hasn't seen, yet. Nobody knew the Camaro was in the game until a few days ago. The GT Academy SPECIAL isn't DLC, anyway. It's awarded as an in-game ticket when you exit the Academy test.

What good does PD gain from having a car in the game that, although hidden, can be seen racing by the AI in one race supposedly? Unless someone else has spotted it as well, there's little to confirm the "rumor" and much to dispel it.

I already stated that I didn't back what the OP was saying, simply saying that it's not "impossible".
 
I own a 2006 cts-v and it is fun and fast.

4 corner brembo's, 400hp 6 speed. Black on black suede! Car is sick..

They also raced scca world challenge an did well!

Not in gt5, none of em'.

I was watching a video of a track day at Road America showing a CTS-V and a Z06 going door to door. I know, I know... Difference in drivers. But that CTS-V was still putting on a display to behold.
 
I love how the Americans (I was born in Surrey, UK) think they can keep up with the likes of Audi (RS4, RS5, RS6) Mercedes (C63 AMG, E55 AMG) BMW (M3, M5, M6), Porsche (Panamera) Mitsubishi (EVO) and Subaru (Impreza STi). They all have decades of experience in building Sports Saloons. Although the Holden-Vauxhall-Pontiac Monaro/VXR8/GTO. But it still doesnt hold a candle to what the Europeans can do. The Boss Mustang 302? "We can keep up with the M3 on the track!" Really? Keep in mind the Mustang has no creature comforts at all, and it can only "Keep Pace" with a better equipped, better built German car.
