Real life car talk is thataway!

There might be other "liveries" that have yet to surface (like the Edge Camaro, it's really only a paint change and a slight power bump, hardly a "new" car), but it's very unlikely PD has an entirely new-to-the-series car sitting on the disc and isn't talking about it, especially one with a high profile like the CTS-V.

If there's really no proof of this apparent unique sighting, I see little reason for this to stay open...

I am trying to talk my girlfriend into a CTS-V sedan. If there is one in GT5, I WILL find it. It will become the Impreza of GT1-2: the car I do everything with. Hhmmm chamoix,?,?

You are all losers because the veyron and gtr destroy all of them lolololol But in all seriousness the cts-v shouldnt fall apart all that quickly. I want to beleive GM has improved the quality of all of their cars, but only time will tell. Yes, they more than likely will not be the same quality as its european rivals (as seen in the corvette's interior) but if performance is their main goal then they have done it right.

Im sure that if BMW or Merc or Audi made their goal to be the fastest at whatever track, they would do in no issue. The Americans, who focus on one track just to say they beat someone at it, dont really care how good their car is all around. And ill say again, look at the standard creature comforts an M3 can offer you, compared to a stripped-out Mustang.

Is the Mustang a brilliant car? Yes indeed, but im tired of Ford only using Laguna Seca as their basis as to why its so much better.

I'm no ford fanboy but the boss 302 would beat the e92 m3 or 4.2 r8 on any track, just look at their specs.
Second, that's nice that the BMW has 10 way power adjustable heated and air conditioned seats because you'll be comfortable looking at peoples tail lights who get what performance cars are about.

Panamera Turbo is faster straight line and on the Nurburgring. STI broke the record last year too. It isn't the fastest production sedan anymore, yet they still claim it to be...

Yeah, but Walter Rohrl was driving it, and it was under 3 seconds difference - guy is legend.

Panamera is also faster from a dead stop dig (see AWD) but on the track, the CTS-V would murder it (just youtube it, you'll see), say, 45 mph to 120 - it's got 65 more horsepower, and weighs about 100lbs less.

Keep in mind, when you buy a Mustang or Camaro, you are buying the most performance at the lowest price.

The price difference between an R8 or M3 and a Mustang or Camaro is tremendous.

Besides, the American produced competition for an R8, any Porsche, or M5+ is a Corvette.

The coyote 5.0 in the 2011+ mustang IS an exotic motor. With the right tune, its capable of almost 100 horsepower per liter at the wheels, naturally aspirated. The big downside is the fact that its DOHC cylinder heads take up a large footprint, resulting in a very wide very heavy engine compared to an LS series.

The LSx engine line produces amazing horsepower as well from a v8 that has greater displacement but weighs significantly less than its competition. A LS1 is lighter than a VQ35 and has a smaller footprint.

US made cars are junk. Cheap materials, poor build quality and the only comfort you can get is size.
Not to mention they're much more expensive to run here in Europe (registration fees, thirsty engines etc) so that their prize is more-less equall.
By the way you can't compare Camaro to R8.

Custom track, stock cars on sport hards.
Audi's a horrible racer/track car.
Corvette can keep up with SLS.
Viper ACR is the fastest FR I've tested.
Nissan GTR is out of this world.

Have you ever been in a CTS-V? It's a nice, NICE car. BMW's are ridiculously unreliable, there's a reason why you can buy a 2008 M3 for $38k - primary/secondary o2 sensors that fail @ 80k miles and cost $1600 for the pair to replace? i335 with exploding fuel pumps, I mean mechanically, the M3 is fantastic, they just can't seem to get the electricals and pumps (which is kinda important) right.

And who in their right mind would compare an R8 to a Camaro... I certainly wouldn't - nor would I compare an M3 to a Boss 302, UNLESS we're talking about performance/price ratio, and lap times. M3 is a much nicer car. Heck, I might even get one next year, but respect where respect is due man, and all the "You Americans" talk is snide, disrespectful, and will get you nothing but flamed.

I would, to quote Richard Hammond "Look at me I'm an eagle!" The SLS is a nice car, theres no denying that, and it performs quite well, but I'm a Corvette fan, and I'd rather have the Corvette. I wouldn't turn down the SLS though. Not sure how all of this relates to a CTS-V though?
