I'm not really hating, it's like apples to oranges, they're different games, I play both and I do sort of like CoD, it's just Actuvision's DLC and other stuff that I don't like.
Nope.boomeehave you decided to get the elite
Cowboys965Because that's taking it to the extreme. "To play the other maps in the game you will have to subscribe to our service and pay a fee." I mean $59.99 for extra 20 DLCs? Talk about paying for a game twice. EA has like day one car DLC and stuff though right?
I was thinking of creating a thread based around a COD social group, Elite would make it a lot easier.Any one thinking of/interested in a GTP group? Maybe once they get things sorted out and I can figure out how to start or join a group we can set one up.
Seriously dude? Get over it. Maybe you should actually learn something about it before you just start running your mouth.
Elite is FREE. It costs absolutely NOTHING to sign up and use 90% of the features. You don't even have to sign up if you don't want to, it gives you zero disadvantage in the game. If you do choose to subscribe you get all the DLC (which will be available to EVERYONE) at a discounted total cost and you get bits every month for 9 months instead of in 4 larger packs. You also get the ability to compete in tournaments and contests for real world prizes that non-paying members don't get to take part in. Plus some additional things. If you enjoy the game a lot, the service is actually worth it, contrary to your misinformed comment.
The connection has been hit or miss for me lately. It will load up everything fine for a while, then error out. I haven't got MW3 yet and I haven't played Black Ops for a while, but all my BO stats are right there for me to check out, which is pretty nice. Any one thinking of/interested in a GTP group? Maybe once they get things sorted out and I can figure out how to start or join a group we can set one up.
After reading what you said, I still feel exactly the same way, you just confirmed my thoughts. Its like paying extra money to race against david coulthard or compete in GT Academy.
Question:
If I get Elite will I get free access to both Black Ops AND MW3 DLC maps? If so I'll go for it, seems like a big money saver.
NO ONE IS PAYING EXTRA MONEY FOR NOTHING
How difficult is this for you to grasp. You opinion might be valid if all you got for your subscription was a few contests, but it isn't. You're being blind and bashing the system just because you dislike the approach, and from the sounds of it just because you can't stand Call of Duty.
It's paying less money up front for 4 batches of DLC; the contests, enhanced clan options, and extra video storage are bonuses. As much as you want to try and twist things to make it suit your blatantly wrong viewpoint, it's impossible to get past the fact that it saves money. Since you seem to like comparing things to GT5, it's like paying PD to get more cars and tracks weekly instead of waiting for a big pack every 2 months, and paying less over the course of a year by doing so. Plus by signing up you get a special driver suit, some enhanced private lobby settings, ability to enter even more contests than are already run, and other things.
Give up, an opinion is never wrong, you can't win this one because I'm aware of the situation and i've made my view clear. if you want to have a pointless arguement there are plenty of Forza vs GT5 threads on the internet for you.No, because your point of view is wrong. All your analogies have been pointless inaccuracies. Is it a money grab as you claim, sure, all DLC is including GT5s. You say you don't believe people actually subscribe to the service, as if they're morons for putting down some extra money. And that would be true, except the tiny fact of saving $10-15 on all the DLC which you so egregiously continue to ignore. Apparently saving money is now considered stupid and people should not do it. Please just stop posting, you keep displaying how thick-headed and unable to comprehend a larger picture you are.

slimsWell you can argue that you shouldn't be paying for maps which may already be on the disc and are possibly old maps from previous CoD games. As it is now, if you want them you have to pay for them and elite lets you pay less for them which is always a good thing. I don't see how it's a scam or a rip off if you were going to buy them anyway.
