I'm not really hating, it's like apples to oranges, they're different games, I play both and I do sort of like CoD, it's just Actuvision's DLC and other stuff that I don't like.

lololol understood just don't buy it then like i told you earlier this is the firs time i am buying dlc for a COD game.add me on PSN ill be on your team lol

have you decided to get the elite

thats cool I was serious though add if you want somebody to play with that will actually try and use tactics and be a team player Im not the best FPS guy but I do try to work as a team Unless we are playing freefrall lolol

Because that's taking it to the extreme. "To play the other maps in the game you will have to subscribe to our service and pay a fee." I mean $59.99 for extra 20 DLCs? Talk about paying for a game twice. EA has like day one car DLC and stuff though right?

You have two things wrong here. Elite is $49.99 not $59.99 if you buy it separate from the hardened edition, and its only $40 with the hardened edition. Second, you can purchase each DLC individually if you would like, you don't have to subscribe to the elite premium. For someone who knows they will purchase all the DLC, like me, it not only makes sense but also saves money.

has anyone been able to get there founders status on ELite yet I know thesystem is bogged down I am still waiting

I didn't get ELITE, but I'm sure the Nov 13th founder deadline will be postponed. Activision/IW/Slegdehammer will have some angry individuals if it isn't.

Question:

If I get Elite will I get free access to both Black Ops AND MW3 DLC maps? If so I'll go for it, seems like a big money saver.

I'm pretty sure that the subscription is only for Modern Warfare 3 DLC.

So is anyone getting through with Elite? I signed up when it was still in the Beta phase and found it to be a nice addition to CoD. Haven't had much luck in signing on since MW3 launched and the service got overloaded.

I can't believe people buy this, its like PD saying "if you pay us £35 a year you can level to 45 and use more online features, and be cool and unique with the word Elite in your profile". When I saw it, I didn't believe my eyes, it is a take the piss scheme to exploit money out of gamers. Like they didnt make enough money from the 398000000000000000 billion copies they sold?

Seriously dude? Get over it. Maybe you should actually learn something about it before you just start running your mouth.

Elite is FREE. It costs absolutely NOTHING to sign up and use 90% of the features. You don't even have to sign up if you don't want to, it gives you zero disadvantage in the game. If you do choose to subscribe you get all the DLC (which will be available to EVERYONE) at a discounted total cost and you get bits every month for 9 months instead of in 4 larger packs. You also get the ability to compete in tournaments and contests for real world prizes that non-paying members don't get to take part in. Plus some additional things. If you enjoy the game a lot, the service is actually worth it, contrary to your misinformed comment.

The connection has been hit or miss for me lately. It will load up everything fine for a while, then error out. I haven't got MW3 yet and I haven't played Black Ops for a while, but all my BO stats are right there for me to check out, which is pretty nice. Any one thinking of/interested in a GTP group? Maybe once they get things sorted out and I can figure out how to start or join a group we can set one up.

I was thinking of creating a thread based around a COD social group, Elite would make it a lot easier.

After reading what you said, I still feel exactly the same way, you just confirmed my thoughts. Its like paying extra money to race against david coulthard or compete in GT Academy.

NO ONE IS PAYING EXTRA MONEY FOR NOTHING

How difficult is this for you to grasp. You opinion might be valid if all you got for your subscription was a few contests, but it isn't. You're being blind and bashing the system just because you dislike the approach, and from the sounds of it just because you can't stand Call of Duty.

It's paying less money up front for 4 batches of DLC; the contests, enhanced clan options, and extra video storage are bonuses. As much as you want to try and twist things to make it suit your blatantly wrong viewpoint, it's impossible to get past the fact that it saves money. Since you seem to like comparing things to GT5, it's like paying PD to get more cars and tracks weekly instead of waiting for a big pack every 2 months, and paying less over the course of a year by doing so. Plus by signing up you get a special driver suit, some enhanced private lobby settings, ability to enter even more contests than are already run, and other things.

I dont think you will get access to the black ops ones But I do think elite tracks all your BO stats

What Icarus Said :grumpy: ELite .. is .. FREE!!!!

You don't get it, I don't like the idea of exactly what you're saying. You keep shouting that elite is free, then once again telling me about all these features that are not free? lol. Can't you just accept my point of view and move on?

No, because your point of view is wrong. All your analogies have been pointless inaccuracies. Is it a money grab as you claim, sure, all DLC is including GT5s. You say you don't believe people actually subscribe to the service, as if they're morons for putting down some extra money. And that would be true, except the tiny fact of saving $10-15 on all the DLC which you so egregiously continue to ignore. Apparently saving money is now considered stupid and people should not do it. Please just stop posting, you keep displaying how thick-headed and unable to comprehend a larger picture you are.

Give up, an opinion is never wrong, you can't win this one because I'm aware of the situation and i've made my view clear. if you want to have a pointless arguement there are plenty of Forza vs GT5 threads on the internet for you.

I'm sorry if I've made you feel like a moron (as you so put it) for wasting money on this, I'm sure you will get over it. As I said already, this is over. It was never a debate, I said my opinion and that is it. Simple as that, no discussion required, move along.

I bought the Hardened edition to receive elite, so it cost me $40. It has real value to someone who know they will purchase the DLC. You are saving money.

If you want to compare it to PD then it would be like PD saying we will release $60 in DLC cars and tracks, but if you uprgade to elite you will gets those cars and tracks for $40. I see the value in that, it's $20 savings because I know I would buy all the DLC for both games.

Most of the other stuff is crap, but I didn't get elite for that, I got it to save money on DLC.

Edit: The more I read what you right it's just laughable. You are correct sir, saving money on something you know you will buy is just idiotic. Who would want to do that?

Elite is free, that includes the stat tracking and other features. Elite premium is not free, but it comes with content that purchased individually would cost more than the price of premium. Where the people who bought the GT5 DLC bundle stupid for doing so and should they have paid more by buying each pack seperately? Don't think so. It's okay if you don't like the game, not everyone does. I don't see how the outright hatred is deserved though. UC3 offers a season pass to save money on DLC, I won't buy it though because I won't play it online that much. But for the people who do it will save them money in the long run even if it costs upfront.

No, there is a discussion. You're backing out because you were proven wrong. You can dislike the idea of Elite all you want, but the simple fact remains that it is a money saver in the long run FOR PEOPLE WHO REALLY LIKE THE GAME. I'm sorry that your brain is so simplistic and your view so clouded that you fail to see the monetary advantage of subscribing to the service. I haven't bothered to find more of your negative and ill-informed posts on the site, but I'm willing to bet all you do is complain about the absurdity of DLC or other additional pay content. Unless of course you're praising PD for adding new cars and tracks, which then just makes you a raging hypocrite. Your "opinion" is based on lack of information and conclusion jumping.

For the record, I have not subscribed to Elite. I have only purchased one batch of DLC for the past 2 CoD games, and am unsure how much I will buy for MW3. If I decide the game is worth it and I plan to buy all of it, you bet I'll sign up for Elite. Saving $10 is saving $10, it's a PSN game.

Well you can argue that you shouldn't be paying for maps which may already be on the disc and are possibly old maps from previous CoD games. As it is now, if you want them you have to pay for them and elite lets you pay less for them which is always a good thing. I don't see how it's a scam or a rip off if you were going to buy them anyway.

I have no issue paying for old maps as long as they do it like MW2, a couple old ones along with new ones. If they just reissued then I wouldn't be thrilled. Personally, I would kill for some Overgrown, Highrise, and Afghan in MW3, especially with these snipers.

It's not wrong to charge for reissues to an extent, afterall a lot of people playing MW3 never owned MW2 or never bought those DLC. I wish reissues would be free, but corporations just don't work that way.

I may have an opinion when Elite is working. The Call Of Duty Elite twitter states......

CallOfDutyElite Call of Duty Elite
@Stteeviiee we have pushed back the registration deadline for Founder status to the end of November.

@nicrwalt We are working nonstop to get you set up with Founder status

@FrostyA17 We are working to get you the 2XP as soon as possible

@SteveSenci We are giving an additional month of access to ELITE Premium members for free

I don't know if they have all the kinks worked out yet, but Elite was up and running fine for me earlier. Grabbed my laptop and logged in while I was playing, and everything was working and updating pretty quickly. My stats and level info was updated easily within a minute of completing a match. I tried the on the fly class customization, and while it's interesting I think it's geared more towards setting up your stuff while you're not in game. You have to back out to the main menu to get the changes to take effect when you re-launch multiplayer. I still haven't figured out how to start a group, but forming a clan looks easy enough. Lots of interesting stuff I'm going to look at more in-depth later, but so far it looks like a decent addition for people who want a little bit more info about their games. And this is all just the free service.

I got the free version, pretty cool I guess, and you get 2 free hours of double XP :D

Elitie seems to be running better logged on from my PC and on my ps3 I think I will start a clan tomorrow. They also finally upgraded me to founder status so thats cool.

If it's a GTP clan, I already made it. But since Elite is 'Throttled' then I can't get the link.
EDIT: Clicky

No it wasnt gonna be a GTP clan though I am wondering can I be a part of more than one clan??
