Can anyone recommend the Logitech X-230 2.1 speakers

do any of you guys have the logitech x-230 2.1 speakers?
if you do, what is the bass volume and quality like?
how loud can they go?

I've got the X-540s, which are exactly the same but with 2 extra speakers. For the price, they're pretty decent and better than anything else you'd pay $30 for, but if you wanted a heap better quality for not too much of an outlay go for the Z4 or Z4i.

I've got X530s, they're great. I'd recommend them to anyone, and I'm sure you can pick up some new one's for around $80AUD with about $10 of bargaining. But I too might pick up some X230s later on for my other PC. I think go for it.

We've got some of those in the Graphics room at school, and they seem pretty good. I'm not entirely sure how loud they'd go before distortion set in (can't say we've ever tried) but they fill the massive warehouse-y type room pretty well (at 'normal' levels of volume). And quality wise, no complaints.

Bear in mind that computer speaker systems don't normally go all that loud. Particularly cheap-ish 2.1 ones. It'll be plenty for listening at what I'd call normal levels, but don't expect to be bursting any eardrums. Probably about the same level as your average micro system:

i picked up my logitech driving force EX for like $15 AUD less than they were wanting for it!
