I know that photos taken in the photo mode can be save to a USB flash drive but...

Can your replay video be saved to a USB flash drive? So you can then transfer it to your PC via a USB connection VS the need for a capture card.

BTW if this is posable how big would a file size be for say one lap of a medium size track like suzuka or something? Just an estamite not looking for exact figures.

Thanks.

I'll make it short, sweet and simple...

No..

you´ll need a "special" USB-flash drive, WHICH SUPPORTS BOTH-PS2 AND PC to do that!...i´ve seen such a thing last week it cost about 30 EURO AND WAS FROM "MAX DRIVE"
with 16 MB!!
so "normal" USBs-- NO
special ones --YEPP

Well that's not a video file, you won't be able to play it on your pc. All that will do is allow someone else with a Max drive to copy your replay to their memory card. So you can share replays, but it doesn't make videos that you can view on your pc.

how did that one guy make gif files..........look like clips form a vid...

He used photomode to take lots of sequential shots. And what do you get if you put a series of sequential shots together? An animation.

care to enlighten us on what is this? how much and is it sold everywhere games and tech and stuff are sold????

If your computer is set up right -- you could do a video capture straight to disc/computer while you race. MyDVD, Nero VisionExpress are just 2 programs that will let you capture video directly from your TV -- or like someone else said -- TV Tuner card.

Or, there is software that makes avi files into animated gifs I saw someone do it in the gta san andreas pictures thread ;)
