I just won this car in the GT world championship and i'm trying to clean up house with the rest of the races, spending as little as possible. I oil changed the car and bought racing softs since this thing is supposed to handle poorly, and threw on a few other mods to raise power to 1048hp. I tried the daytona race and the thing handles like a tank. Is it possible to win with this car against race cars of that caliber? I'm longing for that minolta

For starters, a fully tuned and broken-in Veyron should have 1254 horsepower. You missed a mod or two somewhere. My Veyron is at ~695 Power Points, I believe.

Now that said, I could not win LTW with it. It can't keep up through the turns. Car is such a damn brick.

But I didn't do a FULL tune, ie: downforce, camber, springs, etc. It MIGHT be possible if you do this.

That said, you can win LTW with the Corvette ZR1 Race Mod. Just add some downforce to the front, and you can keep it pinned the entire time. I would suggest buying one, because you will need it in the future anway. It's the car you will use far more than any other. Best investment you can make in the game.

If your trying to not spend much money, use your Bob to win the Furai in BSPEC. It will do the trick and also get you one of the best cars in the game:tup:

When psn is back up, ask a friend if you can use hes/her X1, you'll pi** it.

It's possible that the Veyron can win in Daytona but it's impossible to win with it in Indy. If i were you i would go with this solution:

If you want the job done just use X1 but if you fancy a challenge then use a car nearer the opponents bhp.

I'd suggest going down the ZR1 RM route. It can be used in other races and is very competitive online.

I tried it but I probably didn't put enough effort in and I lost ,to be honest I think people take gaming too seriously!

Did you add the available engine mods? Performing the Stage 3 engine mod and adding high-RPM turbo makes the car an easy winner, while costing a reasonably small amount of credits.

I won the Daytona race in a fully modded Veyron but on Indy...it's not happening, mate.

The Veyron can win in Daytona, but I suggest the Furai for the Indy Race... it's free (Bob should be able to get it for you), it's fast and will deliver you the win... and the Minolta ;)

"But..., but..., but the Veyron has so much powerrrrrrrrr! It has so much speed and it handles just fine! People keep saying it handles poorly, but a properly-tuned Veyron corners great!"

hmm... I think I'll go the ZR1 route. My bspec level is 0. Haven't even touched it besides creating a driver. Hopefully I can find one off a trade. Anyone want a Veyron for a ZR1(RM or not)? I don't really want to keep this car, it's fairly useless at this point in the game for me.

Perhaps with expert tuning and precision driving the Veyron could win, but even then it's a stretch. Like others have said, buy the Corvette ZR1 and do the Race Mods + all the other best parts afterward. You should be able to win with that once the downforce is applied, and I would also tune the suspension and spring rate. After you win that, you can use the Minolta you win to grind LTW until you unlock the American Championship at which point you can start making some even easier money with the ZR1 at Daytona. This is why I would go with the ZR1 over the Zonda because you'll need it for this race anyways.

You know, Ive tried it but it cant keep up with the turns! The Corvette ZR1 RACE MOD BTW! is the only thing close to. But I feel you buddy I cant seem to beat that race either

RM race mod Vette is your best bet , as earlier stated, I saved up and bought a Peugeot 908 and that was the end of it.

I used the Zonda lm race car and one by 0.001 seconds i think getting the trophy. So if your looking for a tight race then thats as good as you will get XD

I'd go with the option of using the Furai, because you end up using less money than to RM and fully tune a ZR1:

Here's other alternatives (including the ZR1 RM):

However, the Veyron weighs over 1800 kg-more than double the weight of the LMP's!
