Can you paint any other Standard race cars besides the Camaro LM RC?

I don't know of any others, but you could try it and find out.
 
No. I'm pretty much positive of that. If there is, it has eluded this entire forum for nearly 2 years now.
 
That the Camaro was paintable? It wasn't commonly known, no; but it has popped up in a couple of threads in the past.
 
i find strange and almost impossible that that's the only standard race car that you can paint. and if it is, i wonder why?
 
If I had to guess, I would say that it is probably a glitch that you can paint it.
 
yeah probably. it would have been cool if you could do it in other LM race cars.

Its been paintable as far back as dec 2010. There is another one I cannot remember at the moment, I will have a look next time I load the game.
 
Normally the race care are replicas of actual existing cars.
There for you can not paint them or change the racing number.

Maybe (not sure) the Camaro LM is generic race car and therefor you CAN paint it.
You may try painting the FTO LM race car I think that one does not exists in real life.

I'm aware that it's been paintable since launch. My point was that the only reason that you can paint it is probably because PD didn't remember to make it so you couldn't, since it is likely something along the lines of a special flag for cars that come in multiple colors that allows them to be painted (since the textures wouldn't be hard-coded) and the Camaro is kind of glitchy when you do paint it (since some of the model definition is painted on and it disappears when you paint it yourself).

You can't paint it. Just stuck with the 7 colours you can have it in.
 
Lotus Motor Sport Elise '99. It lacks the detailed livery but it's still a race car.
 
You can paint the Jaguar XJ13 race car, and all the RM race cars. Would be cool if there were more, I'll try a few other non-replica ones and see what happend. A David Piper green 330P4 would be cool, it ran in Uk in those colours.
 
I painted the Corvette C6 RM, but the white sides stay.
 
The Lexus ISF Racing Concept can be painted too.
Technically the Zonda R is a racing car too due to not being allowed on streets.

Also the Alfa Romeo *insert the really long name here* can be painted (mine is in a dark blue and looks soo nice).

And the DLC TC´s can be painted.

Apart from the mentioned Camaro LM and the RM´s that´s all.
But from my knowledge the Camaro LM is the only STANDARD paintable Racing Car.
 
Alright, did anybody read the part of the title and OP where it said 'standard'?

In answer to OP, I believe that's the only one, I can't find any in my collection I can paint.

You're right it can be painted too 👍 I have mine in a kind of colour shift green/black, I like to think it looks like an exige!

Edit: also yep it is a race car, you certainly can't use it in road car only races.
The clue to its nature is in its name.

It was designed specifically for a Lotus sponsored race, but most people would not consider it a race car rather a tuned car.

Im not aware of any others but i would guess probably not. I think it was just a glitch that the camaro was able to be painted.

I tried, you can't paint any of the others, just the Jag. Maybe because it has no race numbers or decals, as it never raced, only tested by Jag factory.

This thread is about painting Standard Race Cars, not Premium Race Cars.
 
What part of "Standard Race Cars" do people not understand!
