I did the Lizardpoint quiz for the US, was perfect on that. And then on Europe I got 109/117, my problem there was the whole former Yugoslavia area.

^The "new" baltic states and former Soviet republics were a bit tricky, but I got 111/117 on that quiz. Yay maps!

Damn, you only got 1 out of three? Loser...

The UK test has you identify the counties of the whole region, of which there are many. I bet you can't get half the counties of Florida, because i know I can't do it here in Ohio. I only got one UK county, Essex.

EDIT: I only got 25 of 39 on my first Canada try, but at least I've heard of all those territories.

Here's a Middle East quiz: http://www.lizardpoint.com/fun/geoquiz/mideastquiz.html We should all know some of these by now. :lol:

71/87 on the Middle East.

21/24 Australia. Damn New South Wales!

Actually, I'd bet I could get more english counties than floridian.

Word. Have you spent a lot of time over there or something?

EDIT: Grrrr...Where the crap is Ivory Coast?! I have a National Geographic atlas and I still can't find it!

EDIT 2: Well, it turns out NG calls Ivory Coast "Cote D'Iviore", and I could extract "Ivory" from that. I had to resort to my pre-war globe.:lol: And I couldn't click Angola (too small) so that one doesn't count, right?

I got 157 on Africa--using two maps.:ouch:

Canada quiz = 32/39
Middle East quiz = 54/87
Africa quiz = 117/162

I'd probably do better if we had to match currencies to countries.

The Ivorians call it Cote d'Ivoire too...

And Angola's honking huge!

I think I got 112 On Europe, mixed up with Denmark, Sweden etc.

And then:

Canada quiz = 21/39
Africa quiz = 92/162

USA = 14
Africa = 58
Middle East = 55
Canada = 24
Europe = 85

I'm going to do a little search. There was a thread with a game exactly like this, and you could play eachother online. I beat Famine in one game I remember!

*edit*

This was the thread and This is the game! Anyone up for a game then?

*edit2*

I just beat Touring Mars twice in a row!

Africa: 114/162...No problem with the coastal African nations, missed most of the "interior" states, oddly.

As for the un-bordered USA: 96% (try placing Missouri first, then Wyoming!), 8 miles, 244 sec.

47/48 i got all of them right in the time limit but it deducted one point for no reason. :lol:

I got 20/48 on the US one first attempt and aced the Australian one.

96%, 4 miles avg. error, 285 seconds, 48/50 perfect on the state-placing puzzle. I messed up Wyoming and Colorado, but those are not particularily easy to place when nothing is filled in around them.

Yeah, it does depend on a wee bit of luck in the order you get them in. They're a lot easier to place when their neighbouring states are in place.

on Duke's game.
***Ahem*** :dopey:
