Another consideration, if you happen to be trying to get thru the game in the least number of indicated days, the day counter goes up each time you use the "Run & Setting" tracks. It does not go up when you use the arcade tracks, even if you use cars from your garage.
So for all testing w/o added days penalty, go to the Arcade mode, after you're done modding up your chosen car.
