Seems I am unable to post a new thread because I need minimum 100 posts. However the message mentions that the restriction will be lifted once GT5 is released. What gives?

Every first post made by a user - be it a posting in an existing thread or a new thread in its own right - is automatically placed in a queue for the moderators to attend to. We need to approve all first-time posts. I know it says the restriction would be lifted after GT5's released, and indeed it was, but Jordan may have re-introduced it. We're currently experiencing a very heavy load of posts in the GT5, Q&A and Marketplace subforums; the Marketplace in particular is problematic. A lot of these posts are poorly written and/or duplicates, and we're currently trying to find a way to bring the subforums up to the standard that we expect. If the restriction has been reintroduced, it will most likely be because the administrators feel that new users should take some time to get some experience with the forums and the Acceptable Use Policy (the forum rules, also known as the AUP) before they are able to start threads in those problematic subforums.
