Can't burn CD, extracting .iso's

I'm wanting to burn something (don't really wanna say what), but always midway it says something like "Error burning CD". I'm using Sonic Record Now! version 7.10. Is there a burner neone know of that won't keep on messing up half way thru a burn? Okay I think I should be a little clearer, I'm trying to burn a game. I'm trying to make an exact copy but half way it stops and gives me an error. Is there neway I could get the .iso image from the cd itself? I've tried copying the whole cd to my harddrive then burning that to an empty CD. The installation works but when I start the game it doesn't recognize the CD. Could someone help me by suggesting a better burner (free!).

ISO'S!!!
------------------
Is there something that I can use to extract the .iso from the cd, save it to hardrive then have by burner use that .iso to create a cd thus making an EXACT copy of the cd right?

Well, here's what I would do.

Get Alcohol 120%, and rip the disc to an .iso. Then, get Nero or Roxio EasyCD Creator. Then rip the .iso to the disc by right clicking the .iso file and selecting it as the disc image.

Nero is my best friend.

I also suggest Alcohol 120%. I need to get that again, I used to have it, but it went bye-bye with a fair few things when I forgot to backup a certain folder after Formatting. :dunce:

The cd you are copying is probably protected so it won't let you copy it.
There's a piece of software called CloneCD that's for backing up copy-protected CDs, but it's been discontinued because of legal reasons.

Thus, RAW data burning/copying was invented. The RAW method copies every single thing, byte for byte. So, any copy protection will also be copied. Alcohol 120% and CloneCD were both RAW CD burners/copiers, but were both shut down due to copying games and other pieces of protected media.

Okay i'm trying to burn Call of duty, but clonecd can't even burn it correctly. I put in the cd, up pops the autorun menu. I click on single player but it keeps on asking for the cd :*(

You need a Crack. This has happened to people I know with the GTA games (notably GTA 3 and Vice City). Go and find a Crack. Preferably a No CD Crack (which is different than it sounds, it doesn't mean you can run it without the CD).

See how that goes. To find a Crack, use Google.

Oh yes, I got it a few months ago and haven't gone back since
