Can't change kart tires?

I just got the DLC race car pack. When I opened the ticket for the "kart 125 spl " I got in it, went to the tune shop and bought all the tires available. But it looks like I can't change tires on it? The tuning area in my garage doesn't give me any option to change tires, and I entered a race with this kart and still no tire options in the driving options or in the tuning screen. But like I said, I successfully purchased all the comfort, sports and racing tires for it. What gives?
 
OK so karts can be fitted with SS tires only. That sucks... I just don't understand why the game would let me buy parts that cannot be used on this vehicle. I've heard of glitches and bugs and oversights in a game but this is just lame. Oh well, it's not like I don't have tons of cash already, I just wanted to know what is going on. Thanks for your replies! 👍
 
Well I'm not sure why exactly but TT33 at London would let you race the SPL cart if you put comfort softs on it. Tire limitations were comfort soft for that race. Maybe it was just a glitch:)
 
You can only change the tires when you are in the pits. Yes I know thats wierd but it's just a strange glitch. Another wierd glitch with the tires is that all the tires have the same amount of grip (example: you can go just as fast in Comfort Hards as you would in Racing solfs) The only difference in the tires is the tire wear.
 
if you go to the tuning shop and buy the racing soft you have it in your spl 125. but you cant change it.why? i have no idea

Like I said in the post above, you can only change the tires while in the pits.
