Can't wait for longer races in sport mode.

It seams to that they are drip feeding the track and race features in sport mode. I honestly can't wait for races that have weather conditions and require pits, for fueling and tire changes.

15-20 laps with a forced pit stop would be nice. Not a free-for-all with tires though, 2 compounds at the most.

I would get rid of 4 lap races all together, 8-10 laps would be minimum.

A 30 lap race with pit stops and fueling required, once a week (preferably on the weekends) would be cool. Certainly would add some "drama" and forcing people to come up with clever strategies and driving to win those races. it would be exciting IMO.

Honestly I'd just like more races in Sport Mode. Give us 2-3 sprint races and 2-3 "endurance" (10 or more laps) per day, and while we're at it start adding the N-class divisions and Gr1 into the mix, like they were in the beta. I love the game, but I can only run 3s and 4s on the same 5 tracks for so long.

With at least tire and fuel consumption at x4 to force a pit.

You know what would fix sport mode?

1. Minimum 10 laps, with harsher tire wear and fuel consumption. Wanna drive like a tool? Enjoy having your car slide all over the place because you've overheated your tires.

2. Damage. If you want to dive bomb people, you should also suffer the consequences.

3. We need DSQ. If you get more than 3 penalties in a race, especially for contact and driving like a tool, you get black flagged.

I'm definitely excited for longer races, that alone would go a long way with settling drivers down.

IF you check out the user interface design for the FIA GT championships, it seems like it would be easy for them to create new non-FIA ones like the old ones from GT Mode.

Imagine a NA cup that runs once a week for a few weeks, or 4WD Challenge, or an 'endurance cup' where the races have 1 or 2 stops.

Maybe with all Driver Classes often in the one race they feel there are not enough starters in each class to warrant more variety?

Personally, I think one-make races should be 4-6 laps depending on the track. 3 laps is ridiculously short. I feel the race ends just as it starts becoming fun.

I think GR4 races should be at least 6-7 laps. GR4 races are the most competitive in my opinion (even with the Megane BoP issue). I've seen more back-and-forth changing of positions in GR4 races than I have in GR3 races. Giving people an extra few laps to race would give players more opportunities to win.

The 10 laps for GR3 races is just fine. I've noticed the cars get too widely gapped by lap 7 or 8. Generally whatever position you're at by that point is the position you'll be finishing unless somebody spins out. Having an extra few laps to race isn't going to change much.

With the way things are at the moment, adding in the element of pit stop strategy could even out the disparity between some Group 4 cars. The overpowered FF cars tend to drop their pace a few laps from the end of the 10 lap races with 3x tyre wear, add another 10-15 laps with a mandatory pit stop could be really interesting towards the end of the race.

Or maybe I just enjoy watching those Meganes drop off like flies. :mischievous:
