Why do people hate Cape Ring? I don't understand it. It is one of my favorite original tracks! Someone please elaborate.

Probably either the length of it, that jump, or the circular roundabout thing.

Me personally, it's ok, but nothing too annoying.

It's great fun with overpowered cars though like LMPs.

This, and I think because PD bothered to put it in with all variations, and then left out the classics like Seattle, midfield, apricot hill..etc. it irks me a little.

Although,I don't mind the inside or the outside individually but the whole track is a chore.

I don't like ("hate" is a strong word) Cape Ring.. It's a nice track, with nice flow to it in some sections.. But that jump, and the roundabout or whatever it's called totally ruins it for me..
So I never go there if it's not in a seasonal event that I want to finish.
I don't like the original tracks, city tracks or any other PD created fictional track (I know the city circuits concist of real world streets/roads.).. I tend to race almost without exeptions at the real world circuits we have in GT5. Love them all.. Except Fuji.. :yuck:

Cape ring south is the biggest crap shoot out of the 4 variations of the track... that last corner is a B!TCH. As far as the full track, I like it except for the circle after the jump... it screws over my tunes.

Quite a fun track. The FF 430 Seasonal is a 1,300,000+ prize per race with the right car and execution. That's not the only reason for liking the track though.

Another thought. If you like driving with the racing line on, don't trust it much, depending on the car of course - especially in the turns before the ring and immediately after.

The main reason people do not like the Cape Ring circuit is because of the jump. In real life, if a car took that at the speeds you do in the game, you would either total your car, die, or both. Probably both.

Oh, so they think it ruins the authentic feel. When will people understand that this is a game? People think they can play this for a week and go out and win LeMans

Because NFS is "a game". GT has always claimed to be the "Real Driving Simulator", not the real driving game.

I am one of the haters... Its pnly because I dislike the jump. It is hard to take it full speed. I just hate having to slow down for it yet the AI take a perfect line everytime and nothing happens to them.

I personally love it, the loop is great fun with the wheel especially when you get it just right and you go around perfectly.

I don't understand why you would find it too long though.. it's shorter than the Nurburgring and though not as fun in my opinion its got its own unique charm.

I have to agree though, if I had to pick between Cape ring and other circuits added in GT5 I would probably choose the ones left out from previous games =/ so that's likely why people hate it. Or they just don't like certain aspects of the track, honestly it's hard to say. You can't use a blanket reason as to why people dislike certain things. Down to personal preference at the end of the day

No it's still a game. Not everyone plays it for the hot laps and serious business on the forums. Sometimes people play for the fun of it.👍

Besides, that tagline now is as serious as North Korea's "Democratic" in it's name.:)

And now if PD did something to change the London layout's lighting, I'd enjoy it more. My issue is that I can't decipher the racing line when going from shadow to light.

I wouldn't quote Kanye, because the guy does make it easy to hate him.

Great music though.

How can anyone hate someone just because they like fish sticks?

I like it but I think it is overused in the Career mode, as well as Grand Valley Speedway. I just stopped driving both of them, including all variations, for awhile. Then I like them a bit more. :D

This is my favourite track from all original tracks made by PD :D I don't know why people hate a roundabout, it's a nice test of car handling. I don't like the jump however but that's all.

The only thing I don't like about the track is the curbs, they're too freaking high. Everytime I drive over one, it feels like my wheel's (controller not car) gonna fall apart. I also don't like getting sucked into it when I'm driving over them.

The variations need to be used more often for Seasonal Events. There should be a Seasonal Event dedicated to them. Not to intentionally piss you off though. lol It looks like that.
