MenownIssues huh, glad I'm broke, wait no I'm not!
I think I'll skip tonight and race Friday, I haven't had chance to even do a lap of the oval, I think qualifying is the wrong time to try to learn it, even for someone of my obvious driving prowess.
Well, that was a travesty, but at least we know Fixed Host doesn't fix the problem. I didn't have any frame rate lag but cars were lagging like crazy and several of us didn't have any tire sounds again. The track's not good either, it really wasn't the one I wanted but I goofed and shared the wrong track so it's the one everybody had practiced on. We probably need to consider voiding this round of the championship and hope that by next week we can go to Rome and everything will be smooth again. Or at least better.
Here's the results.

The track wasnt the problem,it was the reverse grid.Somebody drove me off the track which led to me spinning out so i was 17 sec behind on lap 4.There must have been more chaos ahead as i caught up to alot of stray cars along the way.
I noticed a couple of cars surging slightly but no serious lag.
These connection issues are really screwing things up for us right now and I don't feel it's fair to have points races under these conditions. The track we were on didn't help anything but the lag/surge issues would have been there no matter what. The room last night was an open lobby with a fixed host status, supposedly the most solid setup available and we were having all the same issues so I don't think there's anything we can do.
My opinion is that we should scrap this week and wait for some of the network congestion to die down. Anymore races under these conditions are an exercise in futility and would probably lead to 90% of the people using this week as one of their throw away rounds. The only option we have left to improve the room is disabling voice chat but from what I've seen I wouldn't expect that to make a big enough improvement to justify continuing.
There are several ways we can handle this, my proposal:
Use the rest of this week to have free races at Spa, then resume Round 4 next week but at Indy Speedway instead of a custom oval (I think I'm done with the custom tracks for a while).
Let me hear your opinions/frustrations and we'll make a decision.
You're only suggesting Indy as it is just down the road and you don't have far to travel then - Do you know the freight costs for getting a Cappy from Ireland to Indianapolis?![]()

I was seeing this kind of stuff all night, and worse, and it had nothing to do with the reverse grid.

In case you guys didn't see the big news from Kaz, it looks like we'll be getting a tasty update tomorrow.
"We will be doing an October GT5 update in North America and Europe, planned for Oct. 27th. This will consist of:"
...
"1. Kart Space I/II of the DLC will become drivable with cars other than Karts in the online lounge and free run of Practice"
...
"2. Expanded restriction options for cars in the online lounge"
"[Car Restrictions], [Performance Points], [Power], and [Car Model] regulations will be possible to set simultaneously."
....
"3. Fix for issues in: Setting sheets, G25/27, resuming from pits in endurance races, TC car numbers and LSD settings, etc."
...
"Many more minor adjustments have been made, but something like this."

Thanks for singling me out... lol
I've never experienced lag in a lounge like this before the last two weeks, I wasn't seeing it occur with my car, just the cars around me.
IforceV8Maybe the Alfa's can make an appearance at Spa?
How many of us have the Alfa Romeo GIULIA TZ2 carrozzata da ZAGATO CN.AR750106 '65?
