car buying input

just curious now that I have the game, what do folks prefer, build points to buy cars, wait for the daily gift cars, earned cars etc? Having never played this game where you don't start up with all cars (like in PCars) any input is helpful

Just play. The cars come easy. The money builds up fairly quick to buy the ones you really want. You will end up with all of them anyway.

If you are wanting to play the sport online races, you will need a GT3 and/or GT4 car.

They run a 'one make' sport race with a loan car, but the GT3 and GT4 races you need your own car.

You can 'sign' with a manufacturer in the FIA races to get a loan GT3 and GT4 car, which you could probably then use for online sport races (and never bother taking part in the FIA races)
 
I have only purchased about 10 cars and I have owned the game since release. Other than that I just wait for the daily gifts hoping for cars that I want which occurs regularly enough to keep persevering. The cars that I purchased I really wanted and couldn’t be bothered waiting for via the gifts which will take a long time to receive all the cars because of the number and regularly receiving duplicates of what are in my garage.
