Car database and track overview

I was wondering if there was an overview of a car database or something like that to decide what kind of car was the best for a race, but there wasn't any to find.
So i wrote in excel a spreadsheet with a list of all the cars of Project Cars with al the information available that i could find.
I also made a view to see how many horsepower (or pk) per kilo a car has, and i did some calculation fields about kilometers to miles etc. etc.
In an other tab i show all the cars that i could find, and made a clear overview of all the track including the information about the tracks (for as far i could find the information)
in practice this database appears to be very useful to me to make decisions, so i want to share this file with all the users of this forum, and hope the find it also useful as i do.

Here's a direct download link of the excel file v1.2:

For the people who only need the pdf file, or just want to see what the file looks like, this is the link:

In the file there are 3 tabs, Car database, Cars and tracks.
The cars and tracks are ranked alphabetically by name, which you can access with a button in top of the screen.
If errors are discovered in the file, I would like to know so I can adjust them.

Have fun with it.....

UPDATE v1.3.1:

Sort buttons (gray) have been created in the car database. Now each column can be sorted alphabetically from a-z with the button above each colmn.
Ruf Rt 12R is added to the database and picture section.

for the people who can appreciate my work, here is the direct download link for v1.3.1. (151,4Mb)

To be able to use the sort buttons you need to turn on the macro's
The file is scanned and virus free.

Have fun with it

The latest v1.5.0 update is available a this link:

Nice work and fair play to you for having the dedication required. I'll have a good look at it later.

Putting the password on a public forum and then asking for it to not be shared is a little odd though.

It is? ok, i did it to prevent that when the file goes over the net everybody could mess around with my (hard) work
and will take credit for all the work i had to write it. but if you think that it's not done i will consider to remove the password (hope this is good english for a dutch guy :))

You can make the document read-only for everyone but yourself. And there's version history, so your work will always be saved. As said, posting the password here is NOT secure in any way. This is a public site so anything posted here is visible for the whole world.

Very nice work!

I see you included the car classes as listed on the car select screen, there are some discrepancies in-game between the classes listed in the car select screen and the classes listed in the race results screen after the end of the race (eg: Caterham SP300/R, Palmer Jaguar & Radicals listed as Prototype 2 in the car select screen and LMP3 in the race results screen, Ford Escort listed as Historic B in car select screen and Historic Touring 2 in the race results screen, etc).
Here's a list I made with the car classes as listed in the race results screen just for reference:

For the neewbs, if you need to sort a specific column select the fields A3 to Y88 (or the latest column in the most right-bottom corner) and then choose whatever you like to sort. (for this option you need the password)

If errors are discovered in the file, I would like to know so I can adjust them.

Have fun with it.....

Wow! That's dedication. Good job.
