I was wondering what cars you guys used to win the Gran Turismo All Stars Series in Expert Series. The opponents are cars that weight about 750kg - 1,000kg and have 800 - 900 horsepower. I have a Corvette Z06, do you think a fully tuned Racing Modified one could win?

I have 800,000CR and am Level 19

Yeah really, this game is getting bogus, the car rewards it gives you are crap, out of the "1000" cars only like 100 are premium, and the standard cars look like ps2 graphics. Seriously man, how can I beat gran turismo all stars in professional if they dont give me a better car or more money. My bugatti handling isnt good enough for extreme.
 
I am alright with the challenge. But, they don't have enough races in all difficulties.
 
skip the event and grind until you get to level 20 and do the "like the wind" challenge, its alot easier than all stars and it will give you a MINOLTA TOYOTA 88C-V RACE CAR, you can then use this to win the all stars event easily, or you can buy one of the nissan or lexus super gt cars which can win but it wont be easy

also for the like the wind event you will need a pretty quick car, i used the corvette zr1 RM and was able to win
 
I used my ZR1 with the RM and fully tuned up to 800+ hp.. you can do it with that, but you seriously have to nail every turn almost perfect. I won the first race then couldn't keep up the next so I'll wait till I have a better car to try it.

This should be easy with this car, i thought.

I was wrong. So very wrong.

I got Gold | Gold | Gold | Silver | 5th in the All Stars Events.

So close, yet so far. I hate that Playstation Racing Car. :(

at least with that car you should easily win the like the wind events and get a legit racing car out of it
 
Pagani Zonda fully tuned from the dealer should suffice. It will still be a competition though.
 
I used the audi r8 '09 fully maxed out, I have used it for many other races.
 
i used a tuned R35 and won easily, correct me if i'm wrong but i think that's the series in which several of the tracks have major shortcuts with no time penalties :)
 
I don't get the difficulty of this.

I would class myself as a mediocre GT racer at best and I found this very easy with a full modded Ferrari 458. Should only cost you about 350k to buy and mod the car.
 
Someone mentioned this in another thread, and I tried it out.

1. Used B-Spec in the Miata challenge to win the Mazda Furai Concept.
2. Slapped a turbo, max downforce, and soft slicks on it, and used it in Like the Wind to win the Toyota 88C-V.
3. ????
4. Profit.

The first one went fine, but the Indy Oval is crazy hard!

They just fly past me as soon as it starts, as they get to past 350kmh at the turns and i can barely manage 300.

That challenge is insane! :scared:

Really? Did you do something to it to make it handle a bit better? As it is, on R2's with maximum downforce, with TCS at 5 and ASM on (I usually hate using aids but in this case I make an exception), it's drivable but the BMW V12 LMR just keeps tucking itself up behind me and eventually does the usual and punts me off the track or PITs me so I'm parked in a wall. I just came 12th on Grand Valley, after leading the entire race, because it decided to take me out in the tunnel, then on the Nürburgring it did the same at the Karrussel.

I'm reluctant to upgrade it because I can only just drive it with the power it has, are there suspension mods I can do to make it a little more stable, or better yet, is there a different car I could use? Toyota 7, maybe?

I'm right there with you too...keep spinning out because of the V12 LMR.
 
I got the Furai from bspec then used it to win the Minolta from like the wind. I upgraded the Minolta and put soft tires and the all stars race was very easy.
 
GT All Stars is definitely in the wrong place! It should, imo, have been the final race. Dream Car Championship is a doddle in comparison.

My results... as of last night!

Trail Mountain:
Gold, but only one second ahead.

Grand Valley Speedway:
Gold, but make one slip and you've had it!

Nürburgring Nordschleife:
5th... those magnets in the grass are way too strong. And the other racers aren't shy about bumping you off!

Cape Ring:
Bronze... watch out for black ice!!

Tokyo R246:
Bronze....Was winning right up to last lap, then two just whizzed past out of nowhere!

Overall... silver. I'm not a good sim driver, true, but I've finished all other events with Gold (except historic race car... haven't competed yet).

My car... the Bentley 8!!

I actually beated this championship with a 1150bhp Veyron. I was very lucky indeed, as I never got any gold.
I was facing the challenge of R92CP & R8 race car. Due to the power advantage in straights, I always get in the front early & start losing out in those corners. In Trial Mountain try to keep up with them by slip stream in straights, and in Nurburgring don't be afraid of spinning out --- those AI race cars aren't that good in this track. You will get the chance to overtake a lot of them on the final straight (I overdid it a bit and errored at the last corner and got a 3rd).
The most important thing I got the overall champion was to be strategic, i.e. cheat. I made sure the R92CP (which was leading in the ranking) crash at the first corner of Tokyo R246(it got like 25 points on that track..whereas I got 75), and when I saw that it was not the R92CP overtaking me I felt OK & continued with my pace.

The bugatti is a terrible car for this event. Weighing in 500kg more than the competition means you're beat before you turn the engine on. It's not impossible, but there are better options for sure. Honestly I don't think anyone could do well in GT All Stars using that car since you're up against true racing machines.

Use the Corvette ZR1 and Race Mod it to win "Like the Wind" in extreme, then use the Toyota 88C-V (Minolta) to win GT All Stars.
 
what I hate about this series is that you can be leading and putting time on them, then someone gets free of the pack and runs down your multisecond lead in one lap and then either hounds you or out right punts you.
I've also been punted in the first turn of the last race which results in being hit by every car in the race and by the time the pingpong is done you're 15 sec behind
I've been driving the Minolta and I can easily win any particular race but all 5 in a session has proven to be difficult. I got silver last try and it was a 1st turn punter in the last race...I retired yet got silver overall, go figure.
 
I use the Peugeot 908, just got the gold on the first race but I haven't tried any of the others yet. I can tell when I go on the Nurburgring I am just going to keep going on the grass, some people say they love driving round it but I always fail at it.
 
FGT is the only car for this race, you absolutely own every other car!
 
I used the '09 ZR1 w/race mod, was real close and fun
 
I'm using a Zonda R fully tuned except for the turbo. It's about 850hp without the turbo and doesn't have the crazy exit oversteer that it has with the turbo. I've gotten 2nd on most races and have been in the lead quite a bit, but it takes very clean racing for the entire race to win. I just haven't been able to put together that perfect race yet, but I'm confident that it's possible. I'm stubborn and won't turn on driving aids except ABS 1 so it all comes down to practicing and improving my driving skill (using DFGT wheel). I don't want to use something stupid fast like the Minolta, FGT, or X1 just to beat the race. That takes all the fun out of it.
 
Hi guys, this is my first post but found this topic interesting. I also read the Corvette c6 was the best car, but gladly didn't bother. Just prior to the event i won the Minolta race car, jumped in and couldn't drive it. Rather than give up i decided id upgrade a few things before giving in, I installed the mid and high rpm turbos, which took it to around 945bhp and installed SOFT racing tyres. Well worth the money, Golded every event apart from the nurburgring, which i was silver in by 1.5 seconds. I found i still had to concentrate in the Minolta, but the mods made life 20x easier. Give it a try before blowing all your credits!
