I searched, and found nothing on this so far; so I finally bought my love today, The 91' NSX, premium of course, and so here it is!

Does anyone notice anything wrong..? No? Look again, at the tail lights, specifically the signal lights. ...Those weren't implemented in 91, in fact they weren't implemented until 2002. ...Sooooooomeone made a mistake.

Not complaining, I still love my NSX and think it's dead sexy, and loving GT5 so far, but has anyone else noticed any other easily noticable (this means things you don't have to go looking for) errors in other cars in the game?

No wonder they made a mistake, the NSX sucks.. :)

hehehe ^_^

BMW M3 CSL rims are the standard M3 rims.. :(

The R8 5.2 has a V8 in it's engine compartment.

Which, if you're paying attention, is wrong on so many levels (no pun intended).

My biggest complaint so far, the original Mini !
It was never made in Germany and was never made under ownership of BMW.
Apart from that I am happy with my copy of GT4 HD.......lol.

The original Mini was made under the ownership of BMW, from 1994 until the last ones rolled off the line before BMW sold Rover to the Phoenix Group in 2000.

AND it never used springs in its suspension, so you shouldn't be able to adjust spring rate.

It was made under ownership of BMW for a while though, 1994-2000.

"In 1994, British Aerospace sold the Rover Group, including the Rover, Land Rover, Riley, Mini, Triumph, and Austin-Healey brands to BMW, who had begun to see Rover-branded cars as potential major competitors. Under BMW, the Rover Group developed the Rover 75 as a retro-designed car influenced by the earlier Rover P4 and P5 designs.
In 2000, BMW split up the Rover Group, selling Land Rover to the Ford Motor Company for an estimated sum of £1.8-billion, retaining the MINI operations, and selling the rest of the car business to the Phoenix Consortium, who established it as MG Rover." (Wikipedia)

BMW kept the Mini license so MG Rover couldn't continue production, and one year later the MINI appeared. Nevertheless, the old one should still be British in the game.

That's right! The last of THE original Ignossis (sp?) Minis came off the line in 2000, BMW had owned the company since 1994.

The MG/Rover parts were sold to Phoenix Group (for better or worse) while BMW sensibly retained the Mini name and images.

The new Minis (designed by a Brit in Bavaria) have been an obvious commercial success while Rover (formerly BL, formerly Austin, formerly Morris) went down the toilet...

Minor detail, but the description of the Corvette C1 is in fact of a pick up truck of some sort.

f430 has stick shifter(animation),but you can clearly see paddle shifters.
murcielago lp670 has lp640's steering wheel.

too bad that the premium cars really suffer from these nasty mistakes.

All old cars on GT5 have cat's.

Going back to the Mini thing, is SEAT down as German in the game as they are owned by VW?

With the mini thing, the bugatti veyron is classed as italian even though is owned by vw, but not sure about seat being german though

The Murcielago LP670-4 SV, which has body coloured side intakes during races, annoys me a lot, being my favourite car and all. PLEASE fix this! Also, the SV logo on the right hand side of the car is at too much of an angle, yet I think it's fine on he left.

FC3S and S13 interior's don't work right.

I currently own an S2000 (2000 model) and bought it in the used car lot as it was my colour, age and everything. looking at it, from memory, it has the glass rear window instead of the plastic that came in @2003 IIRC... think exhausts and tail lights maybe too but unsure as dont have pic infront of me...

Bugatti is french, should be classed as french. mini should be classed as british. seat should be classed as spanish, actually from spain.

saying otherwise is like saying jaguar, landrover and mazda should have been classed as american while ford owned them.

The interior gauges all look like crap and you can't read them. In GT5P they had ALOT more detail.

Also my fav car, the 2000 Cobra R looks like **** compared to how it did in GT4. That car actually went BACKWARDS in terms of looks.

im just bumping this. seems like a good idea of a thread and would probably get alot of replies if it wasn't so old

Why bump this thread when there are others out there?

Yes, the world might come a screeching halt over this revelation, but obviously The Man is holding this vital information back.

You can equip catalytic converters on older cars.

The marque is British, but the cars are German. They're BMW's branded as Mini's because BMW didn't want to embarras the BMW brand by making cars that were front wheel drive, so they took the Mini brand and used it on those cars instead. So it's a bit trickier than the other brands you mention.

why not? seems like a good idea for a thread

There's usually a reason why threads die.

Furthermore, why does it matter two and a half years later..? We're on GT6 now, any problems like this found in GT5 aren't going to be fixed in GT5, that's (hopefully) what 6 will do.

The friggin' reverse lights on the Ford GT '06. They are in the wrong spot: in the grid/mesh behind the engine, not in between the brake lights.

While you shouldn't have to reverse in GT5, this is a very annoying thing for me because the Ford GT is my favorite car/favorite American car in the world.

The bigger problem is that it's KazYam's favourite car.

Ridiculous. I guess they made it that way so it would be easier to see the reverse lights, but still, they are barely visible as it is.

One thing that has always bugged me is ALL the old cars have ECU upgrades? I'm guessing this either a. is a mistake as most of the pre-EFI cars did not utilize ECU/ECM's or b. that it's a Carb> EFI upgrade making the older cars in to EFI.

I never thought of that, but it's a good point. Now it's gonna bug me, I guess I'll have to pretend that it's an EFI retrofit or something.

At least with the suspension stuff, like the issue with the Mini not using springs as mentioned pre-bump, it's a little easier to handle because it's not uncommon to convert to coilover spring suspension when doing racing setups on similar cars.
