Just wondering if anyone has spotted any car models that are wrong.

The M3 CSL is wrong, has the standard M3 alloys... this isn't a big issue before anyone says I'm going ott. In my opinion they should get the bread and butter right (car models) before adding stars that match the night sky, they seem to pride themselves on accuracy so...

If we already have a thread then my apologies.

It's a Standard car from GT4. I'm not surprised there's an error on it.
But yeah. I do twitch whenever I see errors on certain car models. I'll search for some. Maybe that skyline with a toy-car underside?

The Lotus Europa is labelled as an S2 from '68, but it is actually an S1. The S2 was introduced in April, so it's possible they modelled it on one of the last S1's from '68. Here is the picture difference:

It's hard to get the rear end to slide in the game using a stock Toyota 86, Scion FR-S or Subaru BRZ with the stock Sports Hard tires and TC and ASM off. I drive a Toyota 86 in real life, and with the nannies off, it's very easy to get the rear to step out. Not so in GT5 or GT6. Using a Logitech G27 wheel here.

That's not a modelling issue, at least not in the sense this thread is looking for. Also, the actual stock tyres, in GT5 at least, were supposed to be Comfort of some description. Maybe try CS?

I just took the 98 Mercedes SL600 to photo mode and zoomed in on the brakes only to discover that it has lotus brakes!!?? I know it's a standard but come on its two different manufactures! I will do more investigating on other standard cars. EDIT- it's the rear brakes only. Also worth mentioning the 98 sl600 is labeled as a sl500 on the back logo. Since gt4 it's been like that. image.jpg

The delorean is listed as a "s2" and as a 2004 model. There never was a series 2 delorean and they were manufactured in the 80's

S2000 LM Race car has number 30 on its sides, but on the hood it says 33!

Edit: While you're at it, can u update OP with wich cars (and pherhaps wich errors) we come up with.. Or I guess you will see multiply post after a while..

I agree before they added the stars in the night sky which is quite nice TBH but there were much more important things to change, such as sound, clutch, PP on ALL upgrades, wider rims, better choice in cars, more standard to premiums and more choice in body kits. Basically more focus on car customisation. I guess Kaz wanted to show that it is possible to simulate driving on the moon for whatever reason I will never no.

I seem to recall the Brembo logo being mirrored on the brake pads on the right side of the Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R. I would assume they are the correct way around on the left side, and that these were merely mirrored to fit the right-hand side wheels.

The Opel Vectra is still way off what it looks like. It is a standard from GT4 though, and it is a dull, dull, car IRL so I kind of like the fact PD continue to insult it in GT...

It has actually been updated from GT5. Also what parts of it are wrong?

It has been sort of semi-premiumised (with modelled door seams). Also, is it just me, or is the suspension really high on it as well?

I thought I was the only one who had noticed that 👍

The FRS/BRZ runs Prius tires stock. Those are definitely not the equivalent to sports hards. Try comfort tires.

I believe the one in the game is actually an S1A or S1B which accommodated many future S2 features.

Also your S2 picture is a Twin Cam.

Three of my favorites from GT5 had some issues so far untouched. The first being a modeling problem. The other two are poor models because of the cars they choose to reference.

Dodge Challenger T/A '70 - Missing passenger side hood emblem. It's a small thing but I thought they could have fixed it.

Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 '69 - Not a real Z/28 or at least a factory correct one. The versions in GT2 and GT4 were much better than the new premium model.
a. The grill, head lights, and tail light panel are wrong.
b. The model has after market (or maybe dealer installed) Long tube headers instead of factory manifolds.
c. The replacement blue tinted windsheild seems messed up in GT6. It looks black now instead of tinted. (The new lighting engine makes it look dark and they didn't bother changing it)

Shelby Cobra 427 '66 - Now this thing is just plain weird. It may be the real deal but it sure doesn't look it. And again the models from earlier games were much better.
a. The biggest problem for me is the interior, it's red regardless of exterior color. Most Cobras have black interiors.
b. The car has a hood scoop that doesn't appear to be funtional, and a air spliter in the grill. Cobras normaly have one or the other, not both.
c. The expected oil cooler isn't present. Even 428 street Cobras usually have it.
d. The wheels and exhaust are strange, not wrong necessarily, but added on to the other things make this one odd car.

Am I just crazy or should PD pick proper cars to reference before they build premuim models? And how are cars getting worse? The premium '07 Mustang is worse than the standard '05 from GT4. I only care because I love Gran Turismo, and I love these cars so I want to see them at their best.

MR2 G Limited has the words Turbo on the side amd the raised vented engine lid from the turbo.

They basically copied the MR2 GTS model and swapped the engine. And lowered the weight.
They did change the badge on the left side of the boot to say G-Limited.

1962 Ferrari 250 GTO stock comes with Comfort Softs and zero downforce. Just about what you expect really.

1964 Shelby Daytona Coupe stock comes with Racing Hards and massive amounts of downforce, both front and rear. :odd: :boggled: Sports Hards I could see, but there really shouldn't be much more DF than the 250 GTO.

Not really a modelling problem, but adds to the already large list of inaccurate Le Mans racecars for PD.

The 240SX is literally a rebadged 180SX. The actual 240SX has a completely different engine, bumpers, taillights and brakes.

Funny thing is Gran turismo 4 had the correct wheels on the CSL.

The years on ALL of the Imprezas between 2001 and 2006 are WRONG!

I own a 2005 Impreza, which was part of the 2004-2005 model line, the "blobeye." In GT5 and GT6, the 2003 Impreza is a blobeye. Wrong.

2003 headlights:

2005 headlights:

Then the bugeye (round headlights) was from 2001-2003... They got that right, but how did they mix up the 2001-2003 and the 2004-2005 like that?

And the 2005 model is only slightly different to model (different headlights - blacked out) but wasn't included. :( I have the 2005 model, I love my blacked-out headlights. And the '05 wagon (my actual car) wasn't included, and only the bugeye wagon and GC8 wagon was included.

I'm just hoping that PD fixes that.

JDM model years and USDM model years are different. I'm guessing it's because of that.
