Struggling in the Lotus I decide to take the Ferrari out for a try, and it's like almost 5 second per lap faster on Melbourne, is that suppose to be normal or a bit too much?

I just checked up the quali time of melbourne 2011 and it is indeed correct.......wow it really sucks to be in a small team in F1........no matter what you do cars will fly left and right over you at impossible speeds (compare to your car). The faster cars are easiler to drive too, Ummmm better suck it up!

The faster cars are easier to drive because they have more downforce. Ironically, you have to start with one of the minnow teams in career mode - and they're harder to drive.

If you're still frustrated by it, try running the Force India. Of the five teams available at the beginning of the career mode, they have the best car.

I've never driven it myself. I don't have much time for Team Fernandes, and their insistence that they are Team Lotus, a claim that I do not recognise.

There's a huge gulf between the tortoises at the back and the rest of the field. Basically the top 9 teams are separated by about 2.5-3 secs, then the 3 teams at the back are a full 3 seconds slower than the next car. It's making it mighty challening in my Virgin car.

That's exactly what was needed Shag.
Reading about people wining in a lotus last year was a joke TBH.

Don't get me wrong I agree. Though the targets they set you are stupid. My minimum target is to finish 18th in the Virgin, well that means unless someone drops out that I have to beat one of the established midfielders which is simply impossible so far at Melbourne and Sepang. Despite lapping my team mate, and lapping both HRT's twice, since I finished 19th it's a bad result. That's why I knew the career aspect of this game would be very limited, as they don't put enough time and effort into it. Though personally if it means better physics then i'd happily sacrifice the quality of the career side of the game.
