MK1. Most extraordinary looks and best motorsports successes makes this car stand out from all the other GT's in the poll.

MK3 for me, I've always just liked it the best for some reason.

GT40 MKII. Looks the best out of all the GT's and is such a blast to drive on GT6 and GTR2.

MkII for racing pedigree, MKI for just being so damn good looking... those rear haunches :drool::drool:

I think it's really cool how the mk1 got to win Le Mans twice after all it's evolutions ran their course. It would be like an Audi R15 coming to Le Mans next year and winning. Then the year after that.

Has to be the Mk1 for me, though I like them all a lot. Not sure why there is so much hate for the new one, I think it looks awesome.

One of my fave "Mk5" pics is this one, this is the 2003 concept model alongside what appears to be a super rare Mk1 road version:

Mark 4 was not a GT40 even if it always gets lumped in because of Le Mans. I want to vote for it out of it being a hell of a car in it's own right. But the MK2 wins it,big bad 427 side oiler, and those looks are hard to pass up.

There really is no loser with this company though.

I think some of the hate for the new model might be from the BOP debacle from LeMans.

I'll take the MKII that should have been the real winner in '66 driven by Ken Miles and Denny Hulme. (And Miles should've then got the Daytona-Sebring-LM triple, but's for another discussion). Love all the GT40s and GTs but my face is the cut back short tail of the MKII. And I prefer the 7 litre over the later (68 onwards) Group 5 spec cars.
