I'm pretty suprised that this hasn't been raised before. But

In gtpsp the most expensive car the f2007 is 8 million credits.
However in gt5p the same car is only 2million credits.

What will they do for gt5.
When the money is transfered from the games. If the cars are gtpsp price then the 2mill max from gt5p won't go very far. However if the cars are prologue price then you will be able to buy loads with the money you get from gtpsp.

What do you think they will do.

Good question there were also alot of cars that were more expensive than they were in GT4
 
It was easier to get money in GTPSP than in Prologue.

It's all in proportion.
 
The F2007 is 2 mil only because there's a credit cap on GT5P.
There's no way it will be just 2 mil in GT5 (if we can't transfer of course)
 
thats the thing do you think we will be able to transfer cars and credits from prologue into 5 (as with the psp version) what worries me a tiny bit is that we will already have most of the quick cars or enough credits to buy them (not a bad thing imho) before even starting the new game so races won't be as challenging, or do you think the new game is going to be more of an experience over an out and out racer
 
I think you only get like 750000 credits when you sell the F2007 on GTP. I've got five saved already, ad that might not be enough to buy one in GT5...sucks big time...!!!

I think that since we don't know what the caps on money or cars are from gt5p, I won't worry about any of that.
 
isnt it easier to make money on gtpsp though?

anyway i think credits are outdated, they should use euros/dollars/yen/everything else with the correct car prices
 
It would be nice if they use real car prices and currency according to country/ region you're in. And the price automatically update when the real life price drop/rise.

I used to think this was a good idea.

But it really isn't. This is a game, credits are used, the prices are set by PD and are loosely based on the original cost of the car. It's the best way to do things. No unnecessary hassle. To keep tabs and update prices for near 1000 cars would be stupid in my opinion.
 
They use the credit system so they don't have to change the currency for almost every country they sell it in-it saves time even if i'd prefer to buy cars with £'s.

I hope that doesnt happens!!! I live in Brazil and the car prices are AWAY overinflated here (too much taxes!)

If that happens I will have to find a way to finish the game only with used cars :)

I've got all 4 F2007's and 5 different coloured Citroen GT's ( yes, i was bored and had some time :lol: ) mainly because of the 2 million limit i felt like spending until my garage was full, but i don't care if the credits were to be transferred or the value of those cars were to be downgraded.
The only reason i might transfer data from Prologue to GT5 is that some cars in Prologue might not be available in GT5 ( in that case it might not even be possible though ).
I much rather start from scratch, again looking for that used high-mileage Prelude and saving for an aftermarket sports-exhaust.......
 
What I hope they do is allow you to transfer gt5p cars/credits over when you choose.

One of my favourite parts of GT games is the beginning you trawl for hours through used car bins trying to get the best you can for the least money and working your way up.
Once I get well into the game it may then be helpful to transfer all the money from gt5p so I can buy cars i've always dreamt of owning.

There inevitably comes a point where you end up racing the same (usually as short and boring as possible) event, over and over, just so you can afford dream vehicle - X

At this point I'd like to be able to transfer in my extensive F2007 collection and punt them for some megabucks.

Yes, but it is now possible to earn your money online, where every event is different ( not predictable i mean ).

This is true. Also cannot forget that in the full game during drift mode, the points you accumulate will be turned into money at the end of the event. Which again will finally put use into building drift cars.. other than fun ofcourse.

Is this confirmed? I never heard it before ( as with a lot of things :lol: ) but if it is i might be spending slightly more time going sideways.

I agree with this guy, except my choice of car is an old S13 Silvia, starting from scratch is always fun and one of the main reasons why I loved GT3 because it was so challenging.(did I mention that I'm still trying to complete it...;))

As far as I know it is much easier to make money in GTPSP, no?

The worth of any car would probably automatically convert to how much it's worth from either game. If you know what I mean.

And if PD make me drift to finish the game I will be very unhappy :(
