So what if you've just gone and bought a shiny brand new car. and want to race it online against friends with the same type of car - only to find they haven't got one.
So here's my idea - Host controlled garage sharing...
The host picks any car from their garage and that car is then the only car available to every other member of that room - whether they own one or not.
To keep things equal any modifications could also be transferred onto the other cars. Or perhaps, if required, there could be a "revert to default" option.
The host could get to show off their car collection / tuning prowess. And other drivers could get to try cars they might not have or cannot afford - a race full of 20 million credit cars!
It would also be quick to set up for some great close racing - since all cars would be equal.
For visual appeal I'm sure the game could allocate a different colour to each car.
Someone setting up a one make championship might find this useful since they would be able to control what modifications the car has, and the car would be available to all those who enter. You could all test, then everyone could drop back to the lobby. The host could then change the car settings (e.g. more power/change tires) and then that's updated to all the others to carry on testing.
Might work?
