Got most of them, lacking the expensive Ford, as there are non here. And the car from Initial D, which all I need to do is take a picture of the EG6 Civic down the street.

Question as far as the Initial D part goes...assume we can use the American counterparts to the JDM-only cars?

Yup, that's fine. 240sx's and Eight Six Corolla's are good and legal.

I've got a few of them. I didn't find the Ford GT I was hoping to. At least not yet. And I'm finding that VW R32's are very hard to find.

Oh he'll, I need to get started. Living in Europe makes the Italian car bit a lot easier...I can just take a picture of my own Fiat Panda. :sly:

Oh, I should probably add to the rules that you can't use your own or a family member's vehicle. But that still shouldn't hinder you too much. I'm sure there are plenty of run of the mill Fiat's and Alfa's around you.

so can I post pictures of stuff I have spotted yet?

Um, I guess you can if you want. Though personally I would wait till you have everything or everything you feel you can get. Do what feels right though.

Also, I changed and updated the rules.

Guess that means I can't take a picture of my Ford GT...wait, what?

So I guess it doesn't matter if the photos are crappy. Finally found my favourite German car (see it hundreds of times except now) but it's pretty blurry. Have 2 or 3 categories at the moment, and 1 bonus car.

BTW: found a Civic for the Initial D but don't know if it's the right one :dunce:

Right, well.... I did think about giving it a go, but it's going to be harder than I thought. I've seen cars about my town that would do okay for this challenge, but they obviously don't live here, they're just driven here for work.. because I've just spent an hour driving around town with my camera and saw nothing!

There's a few drifters in my town so the initial D stuff shouldn't be that hard, my favourite German car might be tricky, being honest it's a BMW 635CSi, and there aren't that many about - although I think I know where one lives in another town. Expensive fords... not in the UK.. it's going to have to be a 'stang, other than that a Galaxy. Italian will be easy since the guy two doors up at work has a 599, a 430 spyder and now a 458 as well... the hardest one is an old Merc -- the oldest one I could find was a '99 model....

It's an interesting challenge... I start getting all...

And I think I've seen more of my town today, than I've seen in 20 years of living here!

I'll update if I find more, but I thought I might as well throw them out there to stir up some competition.

Most Expensive Ford
Ford GT - MSRP between $139,995 - $149,995 depending on what year it is.

Damn, I could have destroyed the Initial D category if your own cars counted :(

Guess I'll just have to go hunt down the RX-7 I keep seeing around :sly:

Got tons for the German vehicle class! I could go out right now to the City-Centre and photograph 10 M3's and 10 CL63 AMG's alone.

My hardest will be the most expensive Ford, there is a Mustang parked up near us. I believe it is the latest one. Must find it before returning to the UK, where you don't see nice Fords. They seem to have a good market here in Budapest.

So how do you win a round like favorite German car? My favorite isn't really expensive or too hard to find. Same goes for the Italian cars.

Or do you add up all of the items?

The only categories that only one person gets points for are most expensive Ford and oldest Benz. Whoever gets those gets the point. But the other three and bonus car, if you get the spot you get the point. And we'll keep a running leaderboard.

1. Most expensive Ford

GT

Just a quick question for clarification, do we have to submit new pics for this? I mean, what about if I took a picture of a Ford GT a year ago.. do I have to go and scout another?

I believe I've read somewhere the photos had to be taken during the week(s) of the actual hunt. Can't find it anymore so it could be from a previous thread.

Yeah. I rearranged the rules a bit, and left that bit out. But yes. The spots have to be spotted during the duration of the round. Otherwise I could just go into my car spotting archives and decimate all.

Found my first bonus car today. MKVI Golf R.

So I was having a hard time finding a Golf R or R32, then I remembered I live right down the road from the North American VW HQ. A quick drive through the employee lot yielded results
