does the amount of fuel in the car effect car weight?
how can you prove your theory?

if it does, it would be better to keep the least amount of fuel in it between pit stops then.

I think it has been proven that fuel load doesn't not affect weight. This can be tested by seeing if your lap time is slower with a full tank than on empty.

On GT5 cars are faster with less fuel.

This has been my experience. The fastest lap times always come in the middle of the race once tires are swapped as long as fuel is not added.

Proven by whom? I'd love to see those numbers. I could be convinced that my above point is placebo, but I'd need some hard evidence.

I was totally sure about that, but yesterday derpin' at Indy in a 905 and racing softs in 40 laps stints, my best times were between lap 20 and 25... I has tested that twice, and I can't find any logical explanation ¿it's a 2.08 effect?

Fuel adds weight. Empty will give you significantly better laptimes. If you refuel in the pits, your best laptimes will usually come somewhere in the middle of a stint because later the negative effect of the worn tyres will be greater then the positive of less fuel on board.

If fuel is off, the car will have the weight of an empty tank, even though the fuel is shown full.

anyone know how many liters of fuel you can add without lengthening the time of the pitstop?
