So literally that Power-to-Weight number is basically how powerful the car is then...
Of course there are plenty of other factors (drag, handling, gear-ratios, rev-limits, torque, grip etc)
But in the most basic of terms power-to-weight is the number you're looking for.

PS I'm pretty sure the weight goes down in your garage when you change it... technically (Going back to another topic) this should mean that you could probably gameshark the weight down? (He he he... Get an Aston Martin V8 which weighs 400KG?!
