I have noticed that cars you bought in Gran Tourismo mode (with tuning) return to the original settings on arcade.

Can anyone please explain this!!

I assume you loading the garage and picking a car. You then view the spec's and no upgrades. Is this correct?

To tell you the truth, they do drop in HP on the screen.

But go in the race and you'll see that the car still has the power.

You can check this by buying a Turbo powered car. Race it once without the Turbo upgrade, and youll see no Turbo Meter. Then, upgrade it with Turbo Stage 1-2-3 or 4. Go to arcade mode and race again. You'll still see the turbo meter there, meaning your upgrades still work.

Although, it's almost better if you don't use the upgraded cars. Because they pick your opponents by how much horses you have and not by the type of car it is. In other words, you might have a fully tuned up Trueno, thinking you will be racing against other cars in its league.

Thats where your wrong, they will put you up against Mugen NSXs, Toms Supras, and Calsonic Skylines. It doesn't take a genious to figure out that these cars would woop you up even if you had a 600 hp trueno. :)

Have a skyline I believe its the R34 that I sometimes race in the arcade version. I have the car maxed out 1000+ hp and still has the speed to stomp all over the other cars. The only down fall is that I dont get the slicks and my traction seems to be gone. If I'm not carefull I spin out or worse. Anyways no speed has been taken away.:D :D

Yep, this is a known 'bug'. Cars are shown in the arcade mode garage with their stock horsepower and weight. However, if you choose one, they will have the same power/weight as they do in the simulation garage.

Also, it's been said that the cars will gain mileage in the single player mode, but not in two player.

Has anyone verified this?
