Cars removed !

Well I think there should be a thread about what cars removed from GT6 that come from GT5

All WRC cars are sadly removed for starters. Any one observed any more cars ?

I wouldn't worry, since the car list seems incomplete at the moment. For example, the Mercedes Benz models that were confirmed by MB themselves aren't there, and neither is the new Acura NSX (which appeared in the trailer, mind you). I'd say it's better to wait before coming to the conclusion that they have been "removed".

It might not be final but they obviously don't write out a new list from scratch each time they do this, they copy what they already have and edit it, so for that you have to question why someone specifically removed them.

It looks like some of the premium upgrades have been taken out from their standard form which is nice, I will miss those 2008 WRC and F1 cars though

I think we won't see those cars because of licensing reasons.

Maybe an F1 DLC and WRC DLC .I am searching for other cars normal cars as well

Considering the WRC cars were already present in the vanilla version of GT5 though, that'd be a really low move to offer them back as DLC in the game after.

It's only the 2008 WRC cars which are missing from the list, the older cars are still there. They were probably licensed through the manufactures since they have 'Rally Car' in the car name rather than WRC (like the newly missing ones which were presumably licensed through the series).

All of the cars and tracks from Gran Turismo®5, which has sold over 10m copies since launching in 2010, will be retained in GT6.

I doubt this issue suddenly snuck up on them since May. They must have known if they were expiring.

They are not definitely out, PD may just be wrangling with licensing issues for all we know. I would hope if PD can sort out one of Senna's F1 cars for the Senna DLC, the could get the Ferrari's back as well.
As for WRC, while I will miss them, I always preferred the older rally cars, so it's not as much of a big deal.

No, there is only one XJR-9.

I'd say that it's still a "maybe" that both will be there. They were both on the old list; and PD certainly haven't shown any restraint with dupes with the stuff shown today.
