I feel cars in GT3 is slower than in real life. When I driving in Real life at 150MPH I feel very fast, but in GT3, I feel its quiet slow, why?

Kideng, you mean that the car is same fast at in real life, but just lack of peripheral vision to make us feel it fast, right?
sorry , my english is so ...pooooorrr

Well, in the game, you only really see what's in front of you and what's in your rear view mirror. You never see things going by as you pass them in the game. That could be why the cars perceptually feel slower.

yea that and probably b/c u dont feel the force caused by accelerating pushing u against ur seat, i think the tech. name is inertia.

Well and the fact the frames/second of a game are not like how you see in real life, the dashed lines on a road in real life will usually be seen as a solid line at those speeds, but the games are limited to so many frames/second and causes you to be able to notice each and every line. Same goes with trees on the side, other cars, etc.

enertia... the force of moving somtin from a dead stop somtin like that
or a thing of stopping a car or somtin and ur body keeps moving thats y u always hit the stupid glass when u crash lol

inertia.... that is the correct speeling... i think alot has to do with frames per second... and the fact that its hard to dupocate real life perception with a video game... even if its based on real life.... inertia would effect how turning feels more than straght speed... because speed can be constant or achieved with slight acc... i think that peripheral vision is prbably the biggest factor that gt3 falls short in... even at the side of the screen speed is not shown well...

what... "bengee"... hell yeah.... although its already pimp....

shinez..... tell me.... didnt i make that word pimpish

LIKE THEY ALL SAID...
its harn to make it all seem fast and keep the tracks a realistic length at the same time

It's probably mostly because of what kideng and a few other people, I reckon it's because when in real life if you go about 300-350 km/h you are practically planted in the seat, whilst in GT3 you can move, go, get up, and move around...:)

Geez. It's a video game, not a real life event.

The complaints some people come up with these days...

I know..Sweet Sassy Molasy.....Since when does ANY driving game simulate real speed...what I want..is a fighting game..That makes you feel like you're really fighting!!..oh yeah...or an RPG where it makes you feel like you're really using magic....Sweet pappy johnson with an 3R3C+ion

He just asked himselfe why!!
Leave the guy!!

Just make a reply to help him or don't make a reply at all!!
I'm getting so tired to "negative" or "useless" reply's on someone's topic!

I'm asking something to get some good, normal, usefull answers and I don't want useless answers!!

Well some people have confidence problems, so they shift attention to other people's "mistakes" (as they like to call them) To make sure no one finds out that they couldn't drive their way out of a paper bag.

Perception, perception, perception... :D

Driving on a track generally engenders a feeling of going slow. Tracks are usually a lot wider than public roads and the perception of space makes you feel as if you're going slower. Try doing 85mph on a motorway (freeway, whatever), then 85mph in a town centre. No actually, don't...

Then you have the lack of direct sensation, and, as kideng pointed out, peripheral vision (I'm told you can link three TVs to a single PS2 and get a wide-widescreen view, but even this is nothing like).

This leads people to make asshole comments like "The Yaris/Vitz is ****"... When in reality the Yaris 1.5 T-sport (same as the RS in the game) is probably faster than anything they've ever driven (r/l figures 0-62mph in 10.6s, 126mph and £12,000 brand spanking new).

But I think they usually say it's **** because they are comparing it to other faster cars...but I have to admit a pitz is one great thing.

Went to look at one recently, to replace the PoS... What's the one thing a small hatch SHOULD have, bearing in mind it's (usually) a shopping car?

The Yaris has a microscopic boot - you couldn't fit sod all in there. So it went out the window. Clio 172 next up :D
