Cars that disappoint you

In regular everyday life, we tend to think of cars like Ferraris and Lamborghinis as the ultimate cars. But really what G.T. has taught me is that they are basically luxury sport cars. Sure they will probably be faster than a Mustang or Camaro, but they're not race cars either.

To me having Ferraris and Lambos so ill-equipped for racing was kind of disappointing. In fact even though I own some of them (in the game of course) I don't think I have ever used one to win a race! Well besides the One Make races I haven't.

Last night I bought a Lamborghini Murcielago chrome line edition, tuned it past 600PP, and took it for a spin. It handled like a race car would in 100% rain. If I turned at all while accelerating it would spin out.

So I was wondering, what cars are you guys disappointed by?

I'd like to point out that all supercars are really are vanity items. Yes, they have shouty bits and big power figures, but they don't aim to be perfect track weapons. It's only recently in the supercar/hypercar war that we've seen handling and suspension trickery come in as the new form of one-upmanship.

Unless you're in an LFA, in which case it'll destroy everything all the way up to 560PP and even beyond. Because that car is literally made of magic.

I would like to point out that by recent, I mean last 10/15 years or so.

I'm rarely disappointed by a car but the MINI Cooper 1.3i '98 seriously sucks. It's really too bad because it's such an iconic car really. I think part of my problem with it is that it's not a 60's cooper S. That and it also just sucks

At first the GT40 MK I. A couple months ago I could hardly control it, but I am finally starting to get used to it, and its horrible body roll and oversteer from turning under braking. But the Jag XJ13, now that's disappointing. If I had instead bought the Mark IV I just might have been able to stay in PT in the FRL WSC.

I only like it because i'm a Mini fanboy.

That's why I don't like it. They are such iconic and seemingly fun cars to drive. I've never had the privilege of driving an old one in RL but it just seems to bog down like its almost too grippy or something.

Play around with the ARB and spring rates with some LSD tweaks. No car is never meant to be easy to drive, especially older cars.

Well I've seemed to have gotten the car under control, I just like to exaggerate. A lot. The car is fine, but it does suffer that on high speed corners.

I was given a short dose if supercar reality a few weeks back at Top Gear Festival Barbados. There was an Enzo and F40, the Enzo looked like a slug and sounded not like I thought it would. Was deep and garbled was expecting higher pitched note. F40 just didn't impress. What did impress thought was the MP412-C, that car is beautiful in real life, that and the 599, in game the 599 isn't a real looker to me but wow, looks very very nice.

In game I never liked the Enzo, don't even own 1 and only bought the Fxx for the WRS.

The McLaren MP412-C is a good car, it helped me win a couple races in the 650pp normal-car class that I was having trouble with using other cars.

I guess I don't like cars that don't handle very well, ones that either don't take turns well or ones that spin out too easily.

Aside from all that, the only reason to hate a car would be that it looks hideous, though there have been FAR too many of those.

Pretty much most super sport's cars, like the Ferrari's and Lamborghini's etc, the FXX and Aventador in particular. They're just not fun at all to drive, and the engine sound's. I know it's a cliche but just compare the sound's from GT6 to real life and I mean seriously, ye...

And PD dropping the two Ferrari F1's does not help at all. That right there is deserving of a digital spanking.

To be honest I wasn't that fond of the F1's from GT5. They were a bit overdone in terms of grip In my opinion. I think PD should leave out the F1 and stick with what they have for now. Having only two car's that feel like baby x'1s like in GT5 doesn't interest me at all.

It's not that I don't love the car but surely the Ferrari 250 GT has to be a contender for worst brakes of all time. Slam on the brakes and it'll just pitch forward without really slowing down. Turn off ABS and it'll slide for miles.
