I am talking about the lamest, most overpriced cars out there...

my No.1 choice is a hard one but the altezza as200 has got to run close!

it's a sloppy handler and comes with a 4 speed gearbox... whats with that???

None,

All cars are great in a game, the more the better . . . I love driving the under-dog. Even when a car is clearly awfull to drive then its still a nice change.

The VITZ, or as it is known to me, the Toyota Yaris. Whats the point with the vitz/yaris series ? I find it plum boring, sorry to say it, but i do. I have a bright PINK yaris, so, i havent had the heart to do the series race for that, because i cant get into the racing feeling, It just dont do anything for me.

Do we really need that large of a selection of Lancers? and only one car from Down Under? (and on top of that, priced way too high to be useful in the game).

The Storia? Do we really need all those F1 cars to pick from?
PD got it right for PAL, with only having two.

How many of us have over 100 cars, but only miles on 20-30 of them.

What I'd like to see is instead of car multiple car awards, you get a larger cash payout, and it "unlocks" a new car that you can buy. But that's another topic.

How many Skyline version do we really need?

But we all know there is a slight Japanese car bias in this game...

The thing is Tickford is actually based in the UK. But because it competes in the Aussie V8`s they class it as australlian. I think the Ford RS200 rally car was also built by tickford.

But dont quote me on that one.

Although I do agree that it is too highly priced. GT2 got the buying cars thing just right. I like to actually buy my cars, it makes it more personal to you if you buy it.

I think?

I like all the cars, including the Euro yaris!

well,I could name off a few that SHOULDN'T be in the game, but if you think about it,every car in GT3 has its own purpose (if you wanna put it that way),so in other words..every car in GT3,somebody either likes, and if they don't,then it's still got somethin' that a different car doesn't have.so each car in GT3 has its ups and its downs, but there's probably a reason for all of them.and me,personally,I don't like the Vitz, but somebody out there does,so you gotta look at it from that point of view, then you'll see that there's a reason for them "certain" cars we dislike in GT3 for being there.Quick example,my friend likes camaros and basically,ALL american cars.I dislike camaros with a passion, along with american cars, but see..everybody likes different cars,so I guess we can't really say,can we?

Yes, Everybody does have their likes and dislikes, but do we honestly need 5 different stock Skylines, the Mine's Skyline, the Nismo Skyline, the Nismo Road car, and three race purpose built Skylines? Do we really need eleven Lancers, or five Honda S2000's?

and yet, we only get one car from Australia?

AO

...and only 2 from Italy?

Oh, yeah, I forgot: Japan is the only worthwhile country on the planet.

on the other hand, do we need 3 Corvettes? or 3 Vipers?

point is, they're all different, like them Lancers, or GT-Rs. They could have put both Makinen editions together, though.

The two GTS Vipers are totally different. I'm not even talking about a Skyline vs. a GT-R; they are totally different as well.

But the Evos, much as I like the car, are really redundant. Especially considering the number of cars that are not in the game.

Do we need both a Civic Si-R and a Civic Type R (not to mention the Del Slo), when there is no Lotus 7 knockoff in the game?

THe three Corvettes are acceptable. You've got an old one (GS), you've got a Very new one (Z06), and a race built one. The Viper is the same way. one old, one very new,and one race built.
Camaro...One old, one new, one race built.

But a Lancer EVO IV, V, VI GSR, VI GSR TME, VI GSR TME Stripe, VI Rally car, VII GSR, VII Rally, VII RS, and the Mine's Evo VI GSR?

I've gone off on a tangent enough for this thread. Ever watch the credits and see how many license for cars they have but didn't put in? I'll try to compile that tonight for a refernce.

I agree. :)

I agree with the evo and skylines... so many other cars could be inthere in thier place!!!

I wonder why they did that :/

anyhow, thanks for all the replies :D

well,I kinda see where you guys are comin' from about the LanEvos and Skylines, but then again..they ARE different models.so there for, most of them have different specs (turbo wise),and they also look different..well,most of the time anyways.I mean,me,personally..I would love to drive the LanEvo III,but they don't sell it on GT3,so I just bought me a LanEvo IV and tested it out and it was cool too,so I kept it..and onto the subject of the Skylines,I really don't understand what you would dislike about them having "too" much of them?I mean, they have the type-M,GT-R V-Spec,GT-R V-Spec II,S-Tune,and so forth..but I mean comeon, how could you not like the graphics of the Mines Skyline or the S-Tune one?the ones you can't buy are usually substituted for good looks and some decent amounts of horsepower.that's just the way I feel about it though, cause I bought me at the begining of the game, after going through halfway of the Beginner League, with my Hachi-Roku..I bought me an R32 V-Spec II,solid black, and put as much turbo as I possibly could on it,so I could SMOKE the rest of the competition..and I did.but then I found out that it wasn't all about horsepower, but how you drove your car. (sorry, this was towards the first time I played the game, and I didn't know hardly jacks*it -_-) but anyways,I'm sorry if I caused any commotion from this post, but this is just how I feel.and try to think about it this way too..how do you feel about cars that you like sooooo much, driving all through the interstate, parked everywhere, and passing by you everytime you look out your car window?I bet it would make you feel pretty good to see the car of your dreams continuously drive by you.but then again..on the other hand, how would that make the people that don't like that kind of car feel?

P.S. sorry,I was trying to refer to the incident that going on here (nothin' but mustangs and camaros.......ugh..it's sickening...bleh,but like I said, that's just me)

I agree with Apclps - the more the better, even the Japanese micro front drivers. You don't have to drive them - but someone somewhere who drives some crapper is probably really happy it's in there.

And so - on to your quote - I was unaware there was a 4 speed Altezza in GT3- I wonder if you were intending to refer to real life rather than GT3 with this comment?

It is a bit curious that Lexus have elected to run this car as a 4 speed auto - it's a small capacity in-line six (although in Japan the Altezza runs a two litre four) and, though a lovely engine, has little torque and needs revs to run, something a 4 speed auto isn't going to help with.

I've driven manual and auto IS200's and the auto is a bit of a slug - the manual needs a bit of work but can be made to sing. It is a lovely chassis though, I disagree with you on the handling.

The F1 cars. There's no reason to have those in this game. Those and the Suzuki Escudo would pretty much complete the list for me. Anything else that fits in the GT genre would be fine - European, American, Japanese, Australian, or whatever.

yeah, too many F1s, too many EVOs, Vitz = :devil2:. anything Daihatsu makes is totally useless, as well as Suzuki.
but, the more Skylines, the better :D.

There may be some confusion about what I was saying. I'm all for "the more the merrier" when it comes to car selection, but to give us 11 lancer Evo's and only one Australian car was a mistake on PD's part.

I know that all the Evo's are individual and different, but to give us one car from Chrysler, and 11 skylines? I will back-up Vat_man on point of low powered cars are fun, and can be enjoyable to drive.

I just wish that PD could have spread the variety of cars around a bit. With such a heavy japanese bias in a game that sells considerably more copies in UK and the US (as opposed to how many in Japan itself), I'm surprised that there wasn't more variety.

Ah yes. The amount of cars in GT3 is quite pitifull compared to that of GT2.

Have to nominate the Escudo. It's a purpose build car but it is without a purpose in GT3. A few Lancers and Skylines less would not really hurt the game any either... (Even tough I love Skylines)

yeah,it wouldn't hurt the game to have the "extra" cars taken out,and put some classics in from GT2,such as the Levin or another cool car =D.this is what I think they should've done, now that ya mention it...the cars that they couldn't fit into the actual car dealership itself, they should've kept the Used Cars section from GT2 and put the ones FROM GT2 and some extras in that instead.Wouldn't you agree?

yeah, the is200 is a pretty nice car here in Oz. but for some reason the as200 in the game doesnt come with the 6 speed gearbox... go figure hey.

Nah, i wasnt dissin the lexus at all, i love em :D
I am guessing that the is200 here in Oz is more like the rs200 in the game, cause of the gearbox...

you know theres a big difference between the 1986 camaro and the 1987 camaro? the 86 was a little slower and the 87 was a little faster and i'm going to yammer on and on about the cars I like and say how GT4/network needs 15 camaros and a citation X-11.

twatwaffle.

oh yeah, one quick thing...I dont' know like hardly anything about camaros, but you can't really say that ones faster than the other, when the same exact thing could probably be done to each other, equaling out the horsepower..hell,they have an old hachi-roku I saw online a long time ago that had 513HP (the AE86 in fact) and it was pushin' the same amount as what was put on a newer modeled Trueno (I believe it was the AE113) so as far as I know of,you can't really say which ones faster ^_^,but that's just my point of view.

AE86Driver

your point of view is stupid. you go on and on about how different every japanese car is from itself (like how a levin is different from a trueno or whatever). no one cares, you're not going to notice a huge difference betweek a TME and a TME stripe or a V and a VI despite maybe 5 hp or something. maybe not the camaro... i can't remember for sure, but on the trans am anyway 86 to 87 means a .7L increase in displacement, fuel injection, a whole lot of horsepower, and the trans am GTA, and that some how doesn't deserve as much notice as a 1985 corolla because you happen to like them and not camaros, but that's just your opinion, right? sure it is. which makes your opinion stupid. just because you think a corolla is more important than a camaro, doesn't mean the next guy does, pretty narrow minded opinion you have there.
