I feel some camber and spring rate really helps the F1 achieve its potential in corners.

How doyou guys feel about the tuning company jdm cars, like the spoons mugen Amuse gtacademy etc etc?

Let's not forget about Amuse S2000 R1 shall we?
This tuner car is on par with stock NSX-R both right out of box

Honda S2000 '06 - Very balanced handling with stock setup.

Mazda RX500 - Absolute beast straight out of the box

I got a simple suspension and LSD tweak for most GT3 cars on racing hard :) All of them drive great on 1.03. Link on my sig :D
Noted. I shall give it a try. I want that car to be great.

My laps at Apricot Hill, ABS 1, no other aides, Racing Hard tires with bone Stock Honda HSV and Mercedes SLS GT3:
-Honda HSV runs easy 1:18's. If I push it and light up the tires in the braking zones I can get down into the 1:16s. The 1:18s are smooth and consistent, perhaps even too easy. But they feel like good race pace, every lap is within a tenth of the last one and the tires last.
-Mercedes SLS GT3 runs rough 1:22s. The more I push it the slower it gets. It lights up the fronts in every turn. Because the laps are so harsh, they're inconsistent. I'll have laps +/- 1 second and the tires degrade quickly.

With the R8 tune I posted, no aids, 528HP, 599PP, stock gearing and aero, I can do easy 1:20s at Apricot Hill on RH tire ( offline ), I think it can get into 1:18s or less :) Let me know if you have any difficulties with the tune.

What your dealing with is 2 completely different cars from 2 seperate classes of racing.

The Honda HSV is from a class that has high downforce levels that help enormously in the corners. The Merc is from the GT3 class. They have nowhere near as much aero help.
Besides this, the Merc ways 150-200kg more. I'm not sure as to the size of wheels & tyres but I suspect the GT500 are bigger.

I get that, but the PP of the Mercedes is 610 vs 579 for the HSV.
Now, the HSV is one awesome car and very well could/should have a something closer to 620 PP but I expected the two to have very similar lap times around a track where the HP of the Merc could really be on display. 4 seconds is a gigantic gap over the course of one lap on a relatively short/mid sized course.

I'm gonna add

Shelby Series One Super Charged.

Just great handling, good cornering, good speed, very hard to spin out, this car gives you great confidence and its a very good all rounded car. Default setup

Funny enough the Z4 GT3 was terrible out of the box but the M3 GT2 is absolutely brilliant. As far as road cars, the Hyundai Genesis Coupe is fantastic off the lot!
Funny. I thought the Z4 was terrible too. I tried everything but nothing worked. But when it gave up and returned every set-up to stock, I took FOUR SECONDS of my best time. I've never altered far from my stock set-ups since.

I'd say Merc is not quite suited for Apricot Hill :D There's not enough straights to pull out speed ,while it got not enough grip compared to HSV . Out of curiousity I've made some laps (DS3+ABS1+SHstock) and "out of the box" I get same times as yours 1:18 hsv - 1:22 merc. If I do some ghost comparison it is obviously that HSV is cornering monster (1100kg vs 1300 or something) while merc just can't pull real speed ,even on start /end straight which is the longest straight on a track. Maybe with different gear ratios ,but that would already be considered tuned?:D
