Centering Issues with the Fanatec Porsche 911 GT2/3

It seems like lately my wheel has been becoming less and less on center when driving. Now in order to drive in a straight line I have to hold the wheel ever so slightly to the right. At the same time, the area between 0 degrees (Where the wheel should be in the first place) and the slight right that I have to hold the wheel, is (more or less) dead referring to force feedback I can feel. I hear that there is a way to re-center the wheel, that is different from when you first turn it on and plug it into the system.

Does anyone know what you have to press or how you would go about re-centering any of Fanatec's porsche wheels? This has been going on for too long and is really starting to bug me. Thanks for your time you guys and comments are appreciated.

From the manual:

Wheel Center

1. Power up the wheel

2. Bring the wheel into PC mode ( Power on the wheel. After self calibration press the Back Button and hold it for one second. There will be no wheel button illumination ) and turn it to its
center position, then press and hold L3/LSB Button and
R3/RSB Button at the same time.

3. Press Base/Xbox Guide Button.

4. Release all three buttons.

Mine does the same thing in PS3 mode. It will center correctly with or without manual calibration until I put it in PS3 mode, then it snaps slightly off center to the left. I just manually calibrate mine slightly off to the right and then it snaps to the center when I enter PS3 mode.

My CSR and my Elite both do that. When the PS3 is on and GT5 is loaded when I put the wheel in PS3 mode it goes off center by about 1.5* to the left but as soon as I start a race it straightens out.

Mine doesn't go off by nearly 1.5", and it doesn't straighten up when race starts. I just attribute it to the "Advanced German Engineering" (made in China)

Thank you for help thehawk05.

Could be a broken codewheel sensor maybe?

When my GT2 codewheel was broken the wheel would gradually lose center during racing, though, so maybe not...

Was the price similar?
The code wheel sensor CWSEN V2 cost A$15 and I paid A$10 for freight. No harm in checking with them for your local costs - probably much cheaper than Oz.
