Cerbera Speed 6 - where?

OK, according to the car list the Cerbera Speed 6 is in GT4, but it doesn't appear in the showroom or on any of the prize car lists. So where is it? I've always wanted one of those...

Chris, keep an eye on the Used Car Showroom II and you will see it show up quite often in a variety of colors. You may also be interested in the older 91 TVR V8S found in the Used Car Showroom I. Older Jags and Aston Martins among others not found in the new car showrooms are always popping up in the used car showrooms. Check them out frequently.

Have fun!!

You find it in the late 90's section, around the 97 year models. I have two, one red one and one yellow one. All I need is a blue one, a Cooper Green one and maybe a White one and then i'll be happy.

I've got a Cooper green Griffith, it's my favorite colour for TVR's.

That's a fairly offensive signature you have there Race Idiot.

[Victorian Nanny State Mode ON]Bearing in mind that these forums aren't 'adults only', I'm wondering if you fancy changing it to something equally full of humour but less full of expletives? :nervous:

The "Terms of Service" and "Acceptable Use Policy" links aren't simply decoration you know [/Victorian Nanny State Mode OFF]. :D

I got one! :D Well actually I got two, but the first was Ash Green and I didn't like the colour much. Checking back a couple of game days later revealed one in Chameleon Blue! Had to have it, and sold the Green one to help finance parts for it.

Now I just need to keep and eye out for the Griffith 500, the V8S, and maybe another Cerbera if the purple one appears! I also bought a Speed 12 last night. A black one. With black rims. And a black wing.* It looks like the most evil thing on four wheels! If Darth Vader had a car, this is what he'd drive!

Chris

*I don't normally hold with bolting wings to road cars, but the Speed 12 suits one and the extra downforce comes in handy!

You don't need to buy a speed 12... it's the prize car for completing the Blackpool racers TVR manufacturer races.

I now that now. ;) I bought the Speed 12 because I was unable to beat the one that took part in some of the races. Then I won another one! Didn't like the colour of the new one much though. At least by buying it I was guaranteed a black one!

Chris

I saw it in the uesd section on January 3rd in the second year starting in april of the previous year. I dunno what day, I didnt look cos dont want it yet

The griffith is probably more nimble as it is lighter and smaller...

But that might make it more twitchy...

However it won't reach as much power as the Speed 6 in total so the Cerbera is probably the best way to go...

I used my maxed out Cerbera S6 to win the Blackpool racers and win me my Speed12!!

The Griffith and the Speed 6 were both sitting in the used cars, I wanted the 6 but I needed a convertible. With upgrades the Griffith seems to be fast enough to win the Blackpool, I've won one of the races but I just can't handle the car well enough to win the others. My B-Spec driver can only manage second places. It's not that its twitch it just understeers horribly, I have to break really early and even then it's hard to get the exit angle right. My other cars handle so much better.

It's annoying as I really want that Speed 12, not sure what its good for though no one mentions it when talking about the best cars in the game.

Hmmm... Understeer... Have you any ASM on?

Try adding some power to your brakes over all... and a bias towards the rear...

Next try adding to your camber angles (I usually stick a half a degree on)

I also usually add toe out to the front and toe in at the back...

Changes like these usually minimise understeer...

Driving aids all turned down to 5, I'll try out those suggestions.

O/T but what cars are under 3400mm length? - I can't find any even the Minis (which are pictured on the K car up logo) have a length of 3500mm+

Eugh... Turn ASM off...

In GT4 it really hampers your progress... you don't need them... I'm not trying to be all high and mighty about it... I used to have them some way on in GT3... but all the way off is the only way for ASM in GT4...

By all means have a bit of TCS (Altho I would only recommend 2 at a maximum) to curb wheelspin... but get rid of ASM... I can't stress this enough... as soon as you take them off you'll be winning races by huge margins!!

For small cars... get the Suzuki Cappuccino... about 5K in the Used car early 90's... Stick some extra power into it and you're away.

Although I've not yet driven the Griffith in GT4, it was one of my favourite cars in GT3. I thought that both the handling and braking were great. As Yeti said, are you using ASM? The Tamora is easier to handle than the Cerbera Speed 6, but you won't find a second hand one.

Personally I prefer to turn off TCS and ASM completely and drive using the analogue sticks. TVR's need a gentle touch on the gas, especially when cornering, otherwise you just get power oversteer and bags of wheelspin.

The Cerbera Speed 12 is an acquired taste. Once you get the hang of it, it's a great car and the acceleration is nothing short of brutal. When / if you get one, whatever you do don't upgrade the power. It's the last thing it needs. It is very very fast and handles great if you remember not to go over half throttle until you're well into third gear, and get on the gas smoothly. It brakes well, but you do need to brake earlier as you're approaching the corner so fast. It also looks and sounds fantastic!

Noted, thanks - I'll try that out and see how I get on.

The Griffith feels totally unlike the other cars I've used in the game (which isn't that many to be fair) it's a real pain on the tough tracks like Suzuka and Fuji where its hard to see where the turns are, in most cars you can get away with breaking late and correcting but the Griffith turns like a barge and you end up in the dirt, very frustrating. If I only it handled like my RX-7 and I'd cruising around in a Speed 12 :(

Sorry, I missed two posts while composing mine, posting sneakily from work! Let us know how you get on with no ASM.

By the way, do you know that if you win Capri Rally easy you win a Toyota RSC rally car? If you sell it, you get enough credits to buy yourself a Speed 12...

For myself I found the Blackpool races impossible to win in anything less than the Speed 12. I don't want to upgrade my cars to unrealistic levels, and my 395bhp Speed 6 got absolutely tonked by the 12 on any reasonably straight bit! Beating the others was no big deal, but second place don't win you a car.

I haven't bought rally tyres yet, very expensive and the only car I have that might do a job in the rally is a Nismo 400R. Can the RSC be won multiple times by clearing the records?

Hehe got the blue Cerbera Speed 6(And the green one that changes colour in different lightning)For the moment my favorite thing is just to drive the Nurburgring with my green BMW 2002 Turbo. So i have forgot my TVR´s.

Yes, you can clear the records and win the RSC as often as you like. The Capri rally is a tarmac course, so you don't need rally tyres. The cars I've been up against have been a Celica GT4, a Renault 5 Turbo, and a Lancia Delta (non rally). Anything reasonably quick should get you a pretty easy win, I did it the first time in a Golf GTi. I know what you mean about the rally tyres. I was very disappointed when the RSC rally car didn't come with them and I had to buy a set.

Eldorado: You've forgotten your TVR's? Begone from this thread unbeliever! ;)

I think I'll come back to the Griffith and the Blackpool races later. Going to win the two Special ones with my Nismo and get the Cadillac for MR races and sell the Toyota Rally one a few times. Get the Cappucino and will have cleared beginner. Hopefully I can get my complete % into double figures by the end of the evening.

I love the Cerbera Speed 6 but I call it the Carbera 4.2 also I love the TVR V8S got one in game in blue.

I've not got the V8S yet, but plan on collecting all of them. I think the Cerbera 6 is my favourite, but I love them all! So far I only have the Tamora and the Cerbera 6 & 12, so another four to get.

Chris

BTW I passed a lady driving a Tamora on the motorway a couple of weeks back. Something tells me she wasn't pushing it very hard though. ;)

I have 3 fancy colour Cebera Speed 6
I am going to collect all the colours ... they look awesome

haha i did exactly the same thing, so true, i love it. my mate has the game to and he was ranting about how good his zonda was, i tuned my speed12 just for top speed and a laff and smashed him by 20mph at 280mph. look on his face was classic.

im building a fleet of black tvr's at the moment, i have a bit of a black car-black rim fetish :odd:

Me too, it all started with my "None More Black" Evo VI the first time I played GT3. I'm making an effort to expand my choice of colours a bit, most of mine end up either black silver or yellow.

That said, if any of the older TVRs I'm after show up in black... ;)

BTW: Have you seen the black LM cars?
