i thought id just post a few times in different cars on different tracks to see how i compare 2 u lot;) and i know some of u will b thinkin thats what the weekly race series is for but im not in this week i will for week7:p
k here they are

mugen s2000(full mods) - midfield - 1'18.095
evo VII gsr(full mods) - seca - 1'25.783
slk 230(full mods) - apricot - 1'26.934
corvette GS(full mods) - midfield - 1'13.339
evo VII gsr(stock) - midfield - 1'25.172

👍 It's great to see someone using such a wide variety of "Rides"!!! The first thing on everyone's wish list for GT4 is MORE CARS when I don't think most people use over 1/4 of those we have already. The only one I have from your list is the Mugen & maybe one of the Evos, will try to post a time or two for you later. Comparisons for cars like this are almost impossible to find @ "GT3Times" or "Racing Line" because you must use the fastest cars in each category for a chance at a high posting...UB57

ill come up with some more track times l8r and ill try to use different cars as well i mean ive got 173 and only a few are duplicates bought only for the x-port im gonna get 4 my bday;)

:D IMO the X-port is the BEST accessory you can buy for your PS2. (Can't believe all the money I wasted on multiple Memory Cards!!!) I'm NO expert w/"MK"s" Software but let me know if you have any problems...UB57

what is the weekly race series?


and since i rarely play anything other than laguna seca with my skyline, my time is 1:15:531 for that. the skyline has max hp and mods.

i believe its possible to go faster, but not MUCH faster :D heh

the weekly race series is held at the weekly race series archive here go onto 'official gtp weekly race series register now' and there will be a race set for registration. just do that race in the evo VII i think(there is no deadline for registration) and send your time to boombexus in a pm. for the race you can do it as many times as you want and send in your best time. do that and ill explain whatever you need!;)

:D Thought I had more of the same cars on this card but just the Mugen S2000 . I'd never driven it before, what a sweetheart!!!

First lap 1'15.443. Changing the Auto Set & a coupla SMALL chassis tweaks yielded consistent 1'13s w/best of 1'13.268 w/373 HP. Will add more times ASAP.

BTW: I collect 1/43 Lancia Stratos Models...UB57

yeah its possible out of 4 laps i got 1'15.366 on the 4th:p

:D I know it's NOT what you asked, but found an Evo V I'd used @ Cote. Didn't change anything & w/569 HP did a 1'21.629 @ Laguna Seca. Will try to build up an Evo VII ...UB57

hey thats cool. i need a challange, it sucks being better than everyone else cause u have nothing to aim for, 1:15:366? ok i'll take a look at that :D heh

the point is i searched around online and found 1:15:something on a page, and i couldnt find anyone posting a faster time. so i tried beating that, but with my drift skyline, and i could only get to 1:16:something. so i put super soft front and back and increased the downforce on the back SLIGHTLY. and after 1 lap i ran 1:15:531. but i thought i took all the corners perfectly. so who knows... its clearly possible to beat it. i'll just load up my ghost car and race it again hehe

not much faster? well sorry to labour the point about seca guys, but i just clocked it in 1:14:536, i think theres still half a second in it somewhere, maybe up to a second. but u'll be running a perfect run at that point.

just noticed my times the evo VII gsr (full mods) is slower than the stock!:lol: :lol: how did i manage that?:confused: :lol:

i tried going round seca wit ha polyphony 001 today, i managed 1:02:134 but i couldnt get under the one minute barrier. i think that just like in formula one, theres only so much the driver can do. the rest is up to the car + mechanics. with a good setup you can get faster times.

just for the record, the time i clocked with the skyline in the picture was virtually without modifying the setup at all. i just suped up a fresh skyline to max hp, changed the brake balance towards the front, decreased the downforce on the back slightly and put on super softs. in fact i dont think i changed the gears around at all... maybe i could have gone faster hehe...

well good luck with that time bondy, im going back to full drift from this evening heh :D

hey i jus realised i was using a normal vspec not the vspec II althogh the only noticeable difference is the vent on the bonnet and about 30hp

the vspecs have no bonnet vent
the vspec II's do in the car dealer that is

out of my 5 skylines vspec II's 2 have vents 3 dont ((StRaNgE)):confused: :odd:
both my vspecs dont have vents:odd:

my conclusion is if u buy a vspec II it will have a vent but if u win it it wont(won the three that dont have a vent);)

sounds like a bug in the game 2 me :P

are there any m-specs in the game? is m-spec better than v-spec?

do the ones that u win without a vent still have the extra 30 hp? :D

there are no m specs that ive come across and im not sure what would be better. the ones that i win can be tuned up to 1072hp but the ones from the dealer well the highest is 1061 the other is 1044:odd:
hang on you cant win a vspec anywhere that might be why it has a lower hp than the vspec II

have u noticed this UB57
 
:D Believe me I'm no expert on this subject but: I THINK the "PRIZE" Cars come already "broken in." Where as "Purchased" cars don't reach max HP for about 300 Kilometers / 180 Miles. Don't remember how long they stay at this level, BUT after a certain amount of mileage is accumulated, regardless of oil changes, HP will fall off back to the "Pre Break-in" level. Again, not sure of the accuracy but believe this is at least "In the neighborhood." Hope I've helped.

BTW: W/"X=Pot" & MKs Software you can keep ALL your cars @ Max HP FOREVER!!!...UB57

what is an x-port how much does it cost in the uk and where can i get one?! :D
