I dunno man... any drifter who says that its harder on any other tire than sims does not know what they are talkingabout IMO... INitiating drift might be harder in oter tires... but i guarantee that throttle control is hte essence of drifting and sims are the only ones that really present a danger of spinning out if not always careful... other tires present this possibility but it is not as great a danger with them... That fact is why sim drifting is the most difficult... on other tires one can conectrate on other thigs like line... angle... and such without having to always worry about fishtailing...

i will commoent on your drirfting lan evo after i have watched them both... it was controlled i will say that nice clean exists... soemthing that i like...

ok..was using the wrong divx codec. its a good video..my RZ is yellow though :D try using sim, its a much better drifting experience.
 
Whats so bad about the song Lanevo used for his drift vid? Dont listen to them Lanevo, the song is kick ass :p The drifting was not bad, I was hoping you would drift the whole corkscrew, but you took a straight line on the downward right curve :(
 
yep, i would have thought the g-forces would have tried to bring the back around more, but it didn't. if you listen to the clip without the music, you can hear the tires screaching, and i was counter-steering. but it wasn't really a drift :D

Good point, and for that reason I think they're better as a learning tool for people new to drifting. I just think norms are more fun. My sim 180sx is getting more track time though, I will say that.

I do not think anyone is mad at you lol...I was more frustrated at hte ten other challenges going on... this one so far is winning in the time it took to get started lol..

r u kidding? :eek: i couldn't concentrate on the drifting cuz the song was driving me crazy!! I'm glad I don't know where the guy who wrote that song lives or the last thing he'd hear is BANG BANG BANG! Then I'll be off to jail and all I would know is BANG BANG BANG.

aw god, lol just went for a drive...was doing some experiments in the FB. the roads were pretty wet so i could screw around...i was going around a turn in 1st, slammed it into 2nd and broke the rear end loose, counter-steered too much though and it regained traction :( oh well, i need some more hp on this thing lol. after that i was just driving along and i hear a bump, look in my rear view and there's a dumb dove flopping in the road, it got owned :( i went back to see if it was dead..yep..lol:lol:
 
if I ever get a digital video camera or a video capture card or whatever I'm definitely making a video using some old 80's music like

LanEvo, the video was good, the drifting was really clean ecspecially for a PS1 controller..now I just have to figure out how to copy that drift down the corkscrew..I always end up in the dirt haha
 
wassup ethix i am making an 80's mix right now lol... and i was thinking the same thing... but maybe remixed versions.. :lol:
 
i can use my 300ZX and make that corckscrew look a little more spectacular..but lets save that for later.

hell yeah!!! and use all 80's cars in it too...like the FC and the AE86..and uhh...that's all I can think of haha

who knows.. he said it was gonna take him two days... he needs a vid cam to tape it... even if he has a vid cam... unless its usb he still needs a way to upload to comp... hey thio you vid is on pergs site... it was there all along...

You should get him the Wedding Singer soundtrack..that probably has tons of 80s songs on it hehe
 
yeah lol good one... i will use songs from that and other 80's movies like dirty dancing... lol... i am making a mix for his reception... it has some clean hip hop.. rand b... and 80's with some dance as well

there will be a band to play slow songs and stuff

oh man i am getting into the 80's music lol...
