Heres my challenge to you all! I have a league race coming up and there is a 600pp limit on it and its ROAD cars only. So no tuning garages like Amuse, HKS, Etc. No concept cars and no LM cars..........strictly road cars!

I've spent 4 days tuning and trying out hundreds of cars!

The course is the 'Indy Road Course' and the time I need to beat is 1:25.

So, if anyone has a few spare minutes and thinks they know how to set up a car for a technical circuit rather than the green hell then fill your boots :)

Obviously if anyone DOES beat that time then please take a photo of it showing the car in the picture on the track with the lap time displayed. In other words if you hit below that time then stop your car on the track, take a pic so theres no doubt that you used that car!

This needs to be done in a lounge or lobby rather than in practce or arcade mode and i'd really be keen to know which car you used and what your setup was please :)

The gaunlet is laid! Go get em boys lol :)

P.S penalties are on Low

Yeh racing soft tyres lads and just a PP limit of 600pp. So whatever BHP you can squeeze out of your cars as long as its 600pp :) I should point out that its a 25 lap race that we are doing so tyre wear MUST be a consideration!! :)

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you guys can do becuase every single tune ive tried on my cars DO NOT work on this technical track! Most tuners use the green hell as a benchmark for tuning and it goes without saying that this wont work on Indy lol :) Good luck lads and dont forget............Photographic evidence required :)

Yes I'll be online all day tommorow from 9am until 11pm in a lobby getting some practice in so feel free to join me. PSN is d4zlia mate. Send me a message on PSN if friends list is full as I'm away from home today :)

I'd like to contribute. I'll look for a car a tune it up for that track for you. However I more importantly can help you cater the gearbox of whatever set up you use on any car to your specific needs at this Track. it would be up to you to feel out the Track and I'll work with you to maximize the benefits of your gearbox.

As for car Choice, first 2 That come to mind

NSX Type-R

RX-7 Spirit-R Type A

Damn, forget about those suggestions, be a lil work to keep up.

I'm going for

R8 5.2
Lambo
458 Italia

Yeah, as Adrenalin asked, what's up with aids. SRF will be a huge impact if peeps are using it in the race.

Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car ‘98 ?????? Limit to be a road car but it's one.Not a lot of road cars to come close !!

Assasin/racer/adrenaline :)

that would be fantastic adrenaline thanks so much.

Raver the citreon 'gt is too slow mate. PP means very little. An example being the caterham which is over 600 pp bit you try getting round that track in 1:25 in that lol

there are no limits on driving aids but the tune should take into account that I only drive with skid recovery and ABS set at 1 :)

adrenaline could you PM me your PSN please mate.

This Caterham is a very bad example.
This car has very little power and very little weight. ;)

btw the Citroen GT goes around in 1:40 stock on Sports Hard.

McLaren F1 '94

For reference the Enzo runs 1:25.330
but you said you needed to beat 25's so this was the second car I tried.
I assume the 2 BMW would be among the list too, but I don't know if they reach the 600 mark?

SRF is garbage, I don't know what kind of league you're in, but I recommend looking into one that promotes good driving habits instead.

What tune are you using my friend fastadrenaline ?? power limiter 600 pp ... Great car.

Im not a tuner but I had a crack at this . S3 tires . I tried a ZZII and a tuned Mines R34 I was nowhere :D

The RUF CTR2 seems ideal for this track , has anyone tried it?

I can't hardly break the 27's without SRF either...
Now, it could just be me not being good with this track or these sorts of cars, but I am pretty sure I won't be able to break 1:25 without it at 600.

wow adrenaline, thats very impressive mate nice 1 :) You mentioned that your using defualt tranny and suspension setttings? you sure? lol

With regards Skid Recovery and me finding another league.........thats difficult since its my league lol

We allow skid recovery becuase not all the lads in our league are competent drivers, so its left on for them really. Yes i use it if its available becuase i cant really see any reason not to use it since it doesnt seam to slow me down? unless your telling me it actually does? do you think so?

So, the next question is is there any chance you could join me online or anythign so that you could talk me through the car setup etc? I know the car your using has default trany and susp settings but LSD etc and also how much BHP your car has at 600pp etc is important :)

Do you mind if i add you on PSN please? And are you online at the minute for a chat?

Thanks for taking up the challenge.............least it proves you do actually know how to tune a car for a specific track...................which i dont think a lot of tuners actually do if im honest lol

SRF makes you faster not slower. Getting Adrenalin just to use it for a sec surprised me, I highly doubt he would run races using it but rather try to influence you to not use it at all and work at better driving habits, he might though to spite me :) I would agree with him. It's not slowing you down but making it too easy to go fast.

lol Listen dude I dont care how easy it is just as long as my cars first over the line lol The Skid REc is there for everyone to use so i personally dont see any shame in it although I do take your point that it takes a little more skill to drive with out it for sure :)

I just got back from an errand, yes I'm online, but, without any insult, I don't believe there is anything to discuss. The car is in it's default settings, even the LSD for the most part. The only thing I did, was lower the DeAcceleration setting to 5.
The car stock, is over 600pp, so the only thing you do to it, is power limit it to 600pp.
No parts or anything installed.
93.3%
567hp
1140kg
Rear Downforce at minimum (You might go even faster without a rear wing, and adding more power, since you have access to aids)

So my recommendation, is find a tune for this car that exists to go even faster. I believe Praiano has one.

Outside of that, as Assassin mentioned, I do not promote SRF. I don't ever use it, unless I feel the need to rise to a challenge or prove a point, like the GTR '07 guy for example. Here I used it, only to find you a car that can beat 1:25's under your conditions. The Enzo is close, the McLaren can do it. I was just offering a starting point for you.
From here, buy the car, get comfortable with it, try some tunes and practice the track.
Find a way to maximize the SRF crutch.

SRF is a cheap way to increase lap times, because, by my understanding and experience, it artificially increases tire grip instantaneously beyond the maximum grip regularly achieved by Racing Soft tires. It's impossible to do in real life, and can only be done by in game physic gimmicks. It doesn't help people learn to drive properly, and I very rarely join rooms that even allow it. Even the rooms that do allow it, I still refuse to use it. I don't recommend anyone use it, because it will hurt you in the long run, if you actually want to progress your level of skill in this game.

Good luck with your league and I hope the McLaren works out for you.

Edit: As for your PM, I don't need anything in return. The setup I posted above, is the exact set up I used to run the lap pictured. I'm sure you can run faster with Praiano's tune or another available tune.
I'll take the ZZII for a spin real quick, but I really don't enjoy driving with SRF, it takes far too much work to drive this way.
