Im struggling on this game, Ive watched youtube vids on it and I cant get close its hard to perfect everyturn and I find putting fuel on on 4 or 6 makes it easier for me with less power to take the turns. Im using the gt3 Viper and fell a good 15secs behind the leader. Im not sure which car to pick or what strategy. Im picking hard tyres so they last traction 3 as too much wheel spin etc. Some help would be appreciated and pit strategy what lap what percentage what tyres etc. Ive been looking at other cars I have 500k thinking about going for the gt3 bmw m6 or merc amg or even the auldi le mans stat wise that look good. but weird the viper for a gt3 in the stats for weight, accelration etc just looks like a power house so duno if I should stick with it

You would want to focus on cars that are good at high speed cornering. Like the Toyota FT-1 for example, which is one of the best cars on Nordschleife. It can go through the flugplatz corners almost at full throttle which feels kinda crazy. The only thing you have to watch out for (and this is key to getting a good time) is the traffic. You do not want to stay behind cars for long because they are generally very slow at most corners and they will mess up your lap times if you pay them too much respect.

I don't remember exactly how I did the fuel map but I reckon I made my pit stop after 2 laps and then I tried to use fuel map with most power for as much as I could. The long straight is important to go with as much power as possible, so make sure to adjust it when you reach that section.

Other than this you have to just know this track. Run it in circuit experience until everything feels smooth and consistent. You don't have to nail it perfectly, but there should be no hesitation when entering the corners. You should know the basic stuff (brake points, optimal lines etc) and be able to push it in most sections.

I was struggling with this also. I tried the FT1, M6, WRX (FM6 method) and finally the AMG.

With the fm6 method using the WRX, I concentrated on my driving, trying to be as clean as possible as recommended. I never caught up to the leader and finished 6th. But, the WRX was so smooth to drive and forgiving on the corners, that this was when I felt that I was beginning to learn the course.
Then I tried the M6, with RM, FM1 and a pit after lap two. First lap was great, I decided to run on the same tires for the second lap, and that’s when disaster struck. I lost A LOT of speed and hit the wall, getting turned around 180!! I restarted and the next time, I pitted every lap to change tires (RM) and fueled on lap 3 (I hit the wrong button on lap 2). Anyway, much better- ended with silver, but couldn’t catch the leader.
Finally, I switched to the AMG, rm, fm1, fresh tires every lap with refueling on lap 2. That was the perfect combination for me. Very powerful and fast car. I was watching the leaders time dwindling down as I spotted the pack of 4 cars for the first time. I passed the leader shortly after coming out of my final pit stop and never looked back.
FINALLY I got my last gold!!

Very satisfied feeling. Next the circuits...

I hope this helps you. Knowing the track is the most important. Yesterday, I thought there would be no way to get comfortable with this track and would have to settle with a silver. Glad I stuck with it.

Thank you sir. Worked a treat.

Because this thread is almost 2 years old and back then, the Licenses were way harder. Take care in the future to not resurrect these, they’re not really relevant anymore.
@zuperkiwi was responding in 2017. Take care to not accuse the wrong person in future.
