Change gear knob G27

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me whit this.
I see people that have changed the gear knob on their G27 shifters.
How do you do that?

Pop off the top and remove the screw.

When I did mine the new knob came with plastic caps for different size shafts. I found the size I needed then drilled a small hole in it and put the screw back in . This will keep the new knob from coming off.
