Change gold time for Vettel Challenge?

I think that this challange is very hard but I finaly got Bronze in it after trying for several days. I dont like the car anyway as its way to hard to be smooth with it. I never worry about getting gold in alot of things anyway seeing that alot of times to get gold or set records online seems that you have to cut some corners anyway. I would rather run smooth and keep it on the track compleatly then be the fastest. I try to be consistant and smooth then to be absolute fast.
I got the human stopwatch trophy for instant by beeing within a few thousands of each lap and did it over 5 laps. I may not be the fastest out there but I am one of the most consistant and in racing I would rather be consistant.

The best advice I can give (I've given loads already have tutorials up for the challenges etc.) is to;

A) Scandinavian flick it
B) Use the dirt as a means of pointing the car in a new direction
C) Think about 2/3 corners ahead, knowing where your going to break/accelerate what time you want as you exit how your going to enter the corner
D) Drive slowly and get yourself some understanding of visual braking points, time reference points as good references to how your lap is going and how to do your lap !

Suzuka a 2:06, (done a 2:07.7 and can see a 2:06.8 maybe even lower with some practice when I get back at it !) is possible going to go for that on my GTP account once its level 30. Also someone asked me nicely to do there x2010 challenge and did it in literally 10-20 minutes (All there settings and such) all 3 golded ! But I'd recommend you just keep at it and always try something different if you aren't getting anyway!

I guess I failed to mention that I'm using a DS3 for Vettel Challenge. Anyways, I've lowered my time now to 2:10.3XX loool. That's like a little whoops and no gold lol. I don't think a 2:06 is possible with a DS3 though. Maybe 2:08. My fastest first split time on a controller is 0:24.3 and 2nd split time 0:54.4 but I usually screw up the Casio Triangle before I get to see my fastest first lap and 2nd lap. (Currently 1:05.7 and 1:04.2 respectively).

2:06 is definitely not possible with a DS3, I'll be doing that on a wheel. A 2:08 is definitely possible on a DS3 .

Figures 2:08 is possible with DS3. My asumption is based on my fastest times and the errors I've made on those. For example, on my 2:10.3 I made a 1 second mistake on lap 1... so I guess I could have made a 2:09.3 which is close to 2:08. I just don't know how you guys actually maintained composure after a great first lap, LOL. I'm like, "here we go... great first lap, great first lap... yea... yea.... *crash*... ¬.¬.

has this been resolved yet? gave up trying this until it got sorted, i try to achieve as many platinum trophies as possible and thought i'd stand a good chance of getting platnum for gt5 but then i played this and was pulling my hair out trying to set gold times.

Yea, it's definitely possible. I did a 2:06 with a DS3.
Those who can't just need to practice and try harder.

Well I use DS3 and I disagree.. The Vettel Challenge is the only serious challenge in this game so why make it easier? I'm actually more motivated to gold that damn thing with my DS3 just so I can say I did it...

Your poll is pretty bogus too. There should be a, "No, it's fine the way it is." option.
