Keep it the way it is. It will make more sense to the visitors and new users that look at the forum. Can you imagine that if you join GTP, and you can't find where the GTHD section is? I would just leave and go to another website for info. Or I would search it on the forum, but that isn't the point.

You know what, I just remembered that forum was called GT5 before GTHD, so yeah, let's go back to it. The GTHD updates won't be considered as whole games anyway...
Well, if the game isn't e coming out then why don't you just delete the whole thing?
No. Actually, I think it would be best to leave it called GT HD, since that was the game all those shots were for. If you change the name, it'll be like GT HD never existed. It was going to be a game--had a title and everything--but was canceled. I don't see Gamespot or IGN deleting their GT HD sections any time soon.
EDIT: You should at least keep the information about the game, if not the discussion. Move the discussion to the GT5 section or a "Future of GT" section, like Famine suggested.
GTHD is not dead. It will be a Japanese Demo to be made available December 24th through Sony's download store. There is still no word of a N. American release of the demo.
It could always be moved to become a subforum of the Other Games section, much like GT Concept and GT4 Prologue are, and then start a new GT5 forum. Trouble is that there are a few threads in the GTHD forum about GT5, but it could be sorted out if someone were willing to put in the time.
Sorry, when I say GT V I mean Gran Turismo Five. Not GT Vision or whatever it's working title was.
And I know GTHD is going to have some kind of release. But it's not going to be the full release that was the original intention. So, it would make it like GT concept and the like. Would that not mean that the forums for said games should either be separated or a subforum created? One for GT5 and one for GTHD.
How about moving GTHD to the GT side projects like GT Concept and GT4 Prologue, and renaming the possible GT5 thread as "rumor and speculation", as it used to be called some years ago?
