Thanks a lot for the info Bocha.

All of a sudden, I have realized that my Driving Force Pro wheel is not good enough for the upcoming GT4.

The seller (www.frex.com) offers several "modules", which can be purchased separately. The Momo wheel adaptor is yours for a little over U$S 100.00 (w/o the Momo wheel) and the sequential gear lever is good for an extra U$S 100.00. Pedal are close to U$S 400.00, so that leaves them out of a limited budget!! I will definetly give it a try.

With these accesories and a properly setup cockpit, including a good Recaro seat , center console, etc, you can have a close to real life experience.
 
In fact, the U$S 100.00 buys you only the adaptor and extra buttons. On top of that, you must add the real Momo racing 260mm wheel, which should cost around U$S 150.00. So that´s am extra U$S 250.00 over the Driving Force Pro wheel, on which it is based.

I know that it is expensive, but think of it as the Type-R of racing wheels!!!
 
Im actually pretty tempted by this one from ash design
although at £428+vat plus the cost of the new logitech wheel
to go with the network adaptor, wireless gaming bridge, new surround sound sytem and GT4 Itself, it looks like im gonna have to start pulling in my belt.

There is a cheaper bucket seat option, but having had experience of bucket seats in a couple of cars, find they can become quite uncomfortable, when in the seat for long periods.
The above with its less restrictive sides and reclining option should provide the best comfort for long session gaming.
 
At that price, you're better of shopping for some materials yourself and make your own.

the Cockpit that Sony is using to show GT4 in, that was pictured in some threads earlier will cost you less then that (minus the seat)

From Canada anyways, doing that Sony cockpit, and including a race seat would come to the same cost at that thing you showed.
 
Yeah i could probably get a half descent seat and mounting for about £250 (i know you can get buckets for about £100, but as i said im looking for a comfortable time), plus a few bits of Timber and steel, to knock up a frame for about £50, but these days id rather not go to the hassle and buy of the shelf.
 
HOLY CRAP!!! I did not realize about the Adaptor.

So can anybody here know that this Adaptor can be fitted onto the GT4 Pro Force wheel????!!!!!!
 
ah CRAP i wish i could get one of those, but trouble is that i dont have enough space in my room, and as im goin to university soon , it seems a bit pintless:irked:

oh nothing. Its kinda like the Real GT3 sparco set up. Where the seat is independant from the wheel/pedal stand. My seat is attached to the sliders and mount base which mounts to my Civic. Its heavy enough and I can slide the base front and back so the seat can sit on the ground without tipping back.

but back to the post of cheap racing seats. Here is a simple answer. Go buy a real racing seat like around 300-800 dollars. And put that in your car. Then take your car stock seat and use that. Dont dilly dally with this fake stuff. Put the money to good use for a good seat for your car. And use the car seat for playing games. hehe:D

The best bet is indeed to just build/use your own seats.

alarm bells???? :confused: whats wrong with that set up. as for ur own set up. can u use any old car seat?
 
Well, I see plenty of Civics keeping up with the Corvettes down at the autocross. You need to broaden your view of what a race car can be. Have you seen any ETCC races or old BTCC? Civic R's goin' pretty fast!

haha hear ye hear ye. Not to bash on you Eagle but perhaps your view of civics are a bit askew. Granted these things arent porshes or ferraris. But look at people ahving fun with go-karts and miatas. Anyway it all depends how a car is tuned. I heard that a stock Integra Type R can beat a Stock NSX at Laguna Seca. Havent tried on GT3 but In real life i heard its true.

My civic aint that fast. It doesnt even have a motor swap. but what it lacks in HP it makes up in cornering ability. Here im assuming you think displacement is what makes a car. Please correct me (i dont mean to assume but you havent said anything in regards to where you lean on towards motorsports tuning and whatnot)

anyway displacement on a AC cobra is pretty good but a civic could out corner it any time of the day. Also dont forget that driver skill makes up a whole bunch. As you may have noticed I liek track/roadracing. One time at Button willow a pro driver was driving in a 4dr Civic. with suspension mods. thats it and he was lapping everybody in cars better than his.

I have beaten a Suzuki GSXR 750 hp a twisty mountain street. But hey its all in the suspension. Plus the seat really helps in cornering. Interms of mental concentration. Your body is not straining against the G-forces. It may not seem like a big deal or a large force but trust me it makes a world of difference when you have a good seat and belts/harness keeping you in place. as you go around a corner
 
TRUE, TRUE. hey if u go through any mag, ull notice that the civic is loved by alot of people. its dowdy image puts it down a little, but for handling and cornering ability. it truly is one of the best hatchbacks around.

I personally own a Mitsubishi Mirage, and I take a particular delight in passing other new drivers in their 'powerful' V8s as they flounder at turns, roundabouts and at changing lanes. I'm a very big believer in cornering over anything else, I've no interest whatsoever in straight line speed, if it doesn't hug corners it's lost my vote. I know the Civic is indeed a great car, I just can't see the point to throwing a racing seat into it, nor most cars. It seems like something a ricer would do, imo, which was all I meant by my poke above but it wasn't truly serious, hence the ';)'.

I appreciate you actually seeking out my standpoint rather than just assuming 👍
