I don't care that they removed the seasonals #15, i don't care that they removed 1mil. credits from by bank & i don't care that i lost my #136+ leaderboard place (7:58,xxx).

The important thing is: the cheaters lost every advantage & we all hate them now. :)

Great job, thanks PD. :D:tup:

yeah.. i dont mind they removed 1 mil from my account..
It's very easy with the new sarthe challenge, 2x5minutes only :D

I thinks it is important for PD to make a stand on cheating until they can find away to stop corners been cut.

I mean if its a unrelistic time then they should pull the event.

As far as I can see no one in real life as done a under 8 min lap of the VLN 24hrs track.

Most times for the old track are set on the shorter version.

Fastest ever lap still is 6m12sec in a Prosche 956 Group C for the 1980,s layout that is.

Fastest of the full old track is still held by the F1 Ferrari 312b 6m 23 sec.

Last weekends 24hrs race Ferrari 458 GT did get a lap in at 8m 45secs on a almost empty track.

So maybe in real life it could be done.

Still its a good move to trying put the cheats back in place.

PD should just criss-cross the landscape with invisible walls. That way anybody driving under or over the track would just hit a wall. PD keeps thinking they've fixed all the ways to escape the track but the cheaters keep finding ways to do it anyway. Fine, let them. But with walls they wouldn't be able to do much.

I think the problem is that the Nürburgring is a dam long track, with a lot of bugs where you can escape. Even for PD a hard challenge to find & fix all the holes.

Don't expect to see a Ring seasonal again the next month. Maybe we won't see any new seasonals until they have found a solution to fix the whole problem, for all tracks. :sly:

I expect there will be a rushed "fix" for the circuit soon enough. Although I did a legal time, I read about the cheating and decided to watch the replays, they were out before the start line! I went back into the challenge to see if I could break out, and succeeded with almost every car I tried. I never set a time like that, just wanted to know if it was possible.
(Didn't even notice the million missing from my credits! lol )

Explain the difference in practice mode.
I don´t see a difference. OH WAIT...there´s no leaderboard where the cheaters take the first 250 positions.

If I were the cheaters , I wouldn´t risk it a second time.
Maybe there´s no more TT or events then. ;)

It's true, there isn't much difference between practice and this special event besides people comparing their times to eachother and watching good lap times.

It seems like if GTPlanet is able to moderate effectively, someone at PD could probably moderate lap times, disqualifying those who glitch from participating in time trials.

Seems like a pretty common sense solution.

Thing is, a lot of people enjoyed the time trial event, so you can't just dismiss that as of no value. This is a game, and things people wanted to do are res ipsa loquitor valuable.

Stano I get your point fellow Dutchman as for cheaters "empty barrels make the most noise".

Its a shame that the time trial had to be removed but if its "faulty" its a bit embarassing for PD to leave it up ther right especially after all other BS Sony and PSN has had to contend with. Welcome to the 21st Century lads where it seems malcontents' motives are as random as the fat bully in the playground at school terrorising all the younger kids lol. You don't need a reason anymore it seems. Its all rather childish and more likely motivated by mercenary ideals though the offenders will swear that that is not the case (hackers). Its enough to make you sick. What happened to having fun?

Climbing Everest because it can be done - thats a challenge I can understand but bucking the trend or ignoring etiquette or any modicom of decency is belligerent and unforgiveable in my eyes. (I refer to gamers here) I'd run the offenders over in a monster truck and then back over them in a steam roller! Anyone else want to join my bloody crusade he he?

I have nothing to add except that it's sad that it's pretty much gotta come to this. At least PD has proven that they give a damn!

True, but they've taken a easy way out it seems (probably they're working hard to fix it as we speak, so take no offence!, i -partly- understand their motivation) but by removing the event (instead of the leadrboard) they make themselves venerable to stinky killjoys.
If the next time a glitch is found, people who want to "hurt" PD will know that by using the glitch the event will (probably) cancelled once more. That could be motivation for them (the stinky's) to continue, because now they've won and us normal people (and PD) lost.

On the bright side, PD gave us new seasonal's and OCD, who knows what follows, i'll be looking forwards..., (and maybe spot a stinky on the road ahead.., and run him over with the Lenno tank car -LOL- anybody has a tank car i can borrow :))
Greetings stano666.
