I like the local story here in LA about some Mexican guy who ran from the police. They ordered him to stop, but he kept on running into the fence of an electric storage plant for the city. He started to climb the fence, but a cop grabbed him just in time before he touched one of the transformers that was near the fence.
The cops started to say how lucky he was that he stopped him because if he had reached for that transformer to make his escape, he would have electrocuted himself to death. After saying this to the Mexican, the cop was putting him in handcuffs when the Mexican hit and then pinned the cop to the ground, grabbed a rock and smashed it on the cops head and knocked him out cold.
Then the moron starts to climb the fence again, reaches for the transformer, and fries himself on the fence. The reason, the Mexican didn't understand english, and the warning signs on the fence were in english.
The sad part is, his wife sues the city and settles out of court for 1.3 million because the city was negligent for not posting signs in spanish, and the cop lost an eye, then he quit his job. Thank God there is a law now in California that prevents suspects, and their families, from winning lawsuits if they get injured or killed while committing a crime.
