The front looks pretty tall.

It'll probably be pretty striking on the road, but I just can't really get into it in these pics.

I think the key word is "reasonable" when describing the Volt. It otherwise looks like a "normal" car, unlike the Prius and the Insight... And that will likely make it appealing to an entirely different crowd who don't want to be too hoity-toity on their green attitude.

BTW: Its an awkward color to debut the car in... I would have thought Silver or Blue would have been fitting enough. Although, I demand to see one in Victory Red.

*shrug* Doesn't look that much different from the Insight. Just a bit sexier (but not in that color).

Why do I feel that photo-shoot was a men's fashion show more than anything else? All those suits standing in front of the car.

While I would agree with the overall disappointment that it isn't quite as "daring" as the concept car, they had to make some sacrifices for everyday use. First thing in particular was getting rid of the odd side-windows, those of which do not roll down, and then marginalizing the styling to fit the Chevrolet corporate portfolio a bit better. I'm gad that they kept the glass roof/hatch, it does look good, but I'm quite certain that there will still be a lot of things that will change in the near-future.

Or they are just GM's upper echelon. They aren't really doing much of the work, the engineering staff is that gets little or no public recognition.

I keep wondering if there is supposed to be some function with it, and for the life of me, I can't imagine what it is. I see that it makes a cut into the rear portion of the car, possibly to direct air into the battery (for cooling?), otherwise, I can't imagine why it would be like that...

Should have released it in the dark blue purplish colour that the one on the set of Transformers 2 is in. Looked real nice in the Transformers 2 pictures but that light blue looks a bit bland.

Seriously, though, this car looks like a pig. It's like Salvador Dali's TL. If this car is supposed to save GM, then GM is doomed.

Most of those are rebadges or just overall shody pieces of engineering. This however is a huge monetary investment that GM can't quite afford to lose...

I don't think the CTS was meant to save GM, but I do think it has done a terrific job bringing Cadillac to a new standard. Now, if Cadillac can just carry that standard over to every other model, they might be on to something.
