what are mages?
skicrushSo, how would GM entering in the LMP1 category make them MORE winners? Does that mean that the class winners aren't realy winners? So, since Porsche didn't win the LMP1 category, and therefore the race, their wins count for nothing? Don't you think they'd just race them separately in that case, if the separate classes didn't have individual winners?
Ah. THAT is a VERY good point.neanderthalwell, look at it this way. for each GM win in each category of each race, there is another competitor (porsche most likely) winning its own class and therefore tying chevy for wins.
if corvette wins GT, porsche wins GT2 as they invariably seem to always do. in which case, doesnt porsche have more victories in "head to head" events? that was my point.
And under the hood (bonnet)!!!except for the paint job
LeadSlead#2So, if GM's not the best auto maker - who is? does anybody sells more autos? aren't there more foreign cars on the American market than vice versa?
Well then, according to their own site, the only ones that currently count are NASCAR, Craftsman Trucks, ALMS, and NHRA. Those are the only series that GM directly compete the Chevy brand in. So, thats not much these days. Now, GM obviously used race the Chevy brand in TransAm back in the day as well. And I'm sure there have been some other few series here and there. But, like I said in my earlier post, and you just said there, if we only count the series that they directly compete the Chevy name in, that isn't much in a worldwide look. In America, and in those series they mention on their site, I'm sure they are close. But, with only a handfull of series a year they race in, they have no chance worldwide.LeadSlead#2...by the way, only races the Manufacture itself supports, or is involved in would count..hence me saying you had a good list
