some suggestions for taking care of them:
1) use a q-tip every day to clean out your ears. Otherwise your plugs will come out all nasty like
2) try and keep your plugs and the fittings clean for obvious reasons
3) no matter how well you know someone someone, NEVER, under ANY circumstances should you share the plugs. The only time it's acceptable is if you wash the fittings before and after the other person uses it.
4) don't crank the volume too loud. It hurts like hell
