I put a wing on my 458. Are you saying that I'm wrong? :(

And yes, let's get a few more customization options available.

Fixed it for you :). Nothing wrong with PD giving us changeable wheels for every car and more wheel options. Those that share your opinion can just ignore it. Those of us that want it will use it. Viola. Everyone is happy.

I'm pretty sure it's very easy to realize that was an opinionated statement... :dunce:

Changing your wheels for race brands like O.Z and BBS is fine for a race spec car but once you start talkin about 'rim' sizes you just kno that secretly, these people want NOS and under-body neons as well!!!
This is GT, a geniune attempt (albeit flawed!) at a decent race sim
So why don't you go and dig out your old PS2's, and go back to playing NFS underground and collecting your Hot wheels minatures for f@cks sake!!

*waits patiently for the fishy's to bite*

Changing the rim size isn't always for style and looks you know.

Gupster74 and I are on the same page. Rimz, Neon Lights, Hydraulics... it's like playing dress up with dolls.

I've caught one!!!!

Can you not defend yourself or what? I'm simple telling you that not everyone changes their rim size for style and looks man, nothing personal.

Edit: Do you think when you post something no one is going to reply with their idea?

Considering this thread is about rims and their size why are you talking about neon and hydraulics? I would have to agree with you but that's a whole new topic.

Rims really add to the look of the car. Some of the stock rims in GT5 look awesome and would look better on other cars.

Yupp, obviously can't defend himself.

YAWN!!!…We heard you the 1st time!!!
My reading is clearly better than your sarcasm detection!!!
Lighten up man!!!!

Chill out with the exclamation points.

Sarcasm is hard to detect over the internet and I simple don't like when people say something but they can't back it up, ignorance at it's best I guess. 👎

What's next? Whistle tips? woowooo!

LOL!!!!!!!! WooWoooooooo *Bub Rub*

More wheels would be a nice addition to GT5. Also having an accurate selection of factory wheels with the cars. I read an article in Evo magazine recently and it featured a volcano red MP4-12C with black factory wheels. I would've liked to recreate that car but the factory wheels on an MP4-12C in GT5 are silver. There's no other choice and you can't paint factory wheels.

It's a minor thing but it would be nice to have a larger selection of wheels and paint finishes for factory wheels. PD might get around to it one day...

Against WHAT exactly????
If you read my OP correctly you would realise that i jumped in for a bit of banter!!!
My new copy of EVO's* just arrived so i'll leave you boys to it, ha ha!!
*This is like Max Power btw Crazed Coupe but without the 22" colour-coded alloys and body kits, you wouldn't like it…far too,um…beige!…

You need to speak better English, I cannot understand hardly anything that you are saying.

You don't even know me or what I like so why are you saying "you wouldn't like it"? I don't like big wheels that do nothing for the car performance wise or useless body kits but people who put bigger/smaller rims on their car for a performance reason I can understand.

By defending yourself i'm talking about one of your previous posts talking about how all big rims are useless and how you can't seem to back up what your saying. :dunce:

I'd go with 18" rims because of the better selection of track rubber and slicks but since it's not an issue in GT5 it'd only be for the looks...

I'll tell you what we need.

When you buy a Ferrari in real life, you get a choice of around 5 wheels and over 20 different interior colour combinations, let's have that!

I want red leather in my black California, not black in black.

LOL. I hear you. I love the same color combo and tried to fool the game by buying a California with an exterior color that comes with the red interior. Then I bought a black Ferrari to get the black paint chip so I could paint the other Ferrari with the red interior, black. Or so I thought. The game changed my red interior to black when I painted the exterior black LOL. Sometimes its the simple things that can really add to the polish and joy of an already good game.

I know this is a crazy thing to add, but I'd rather have an option to disallow performance and visual modifications to cars by Ferrari and Lamborghini.

👍

They are already tweaked and tuned for performance, I don't see the need to do even more to them. For me it also goes for aftermarket tuner brands such as Nismo and Spoon.

Why? If you don't like them simply don't use them, why limit things for those who do like to tune or modify them and why exclusively for these brands?
It's not that there's a law in real life banning modifying them, I get that these brands are something special in real life (at least they are to me) but in a videogame they're just another piece of data which these manufacturers agreed to when giving PD their license.
Wanting to keep certain cars stock is one thing, demanding or requesting everyone should is complete balderdash, especially since it involves taking away an option already implemented and being used.

I've got a few fully tuned Miuras on sport soft tyres and they're a hoot to drive and sound absolutely glorious, I've chosen colours which came close to existing Miuras and kept the fantastic looking standard wheels.
I must sound like a complete heritic to you and believe me if I ever got to own a real Miura I wouldn't modify a single thing but it's only a videogame aimed to provide fun and a tuned Miura to me is much more fun than the stock version (again in this videogame).

I don't think that he was implying to limit everyone from tuning these machines, simply giving his idea on the subject but then again what do I know.

The RX7 has very big rim size selection, it looks bad. It needs smaller ones. While the 02 Silvia needs bigger and wider rims/tires. Why doesn't the race suspension allow wider tires/rims?

That's probably one of the things that irks me with GT5 and it's the lack of real Mods legal or otherwise. For Example I should be able to swap engines on the Toyota Trueno to a 20 valve engine or Add a Carbon fiber hood and change the Pizza Cutter Rims to some Watanabe's or TE27's. Don't know why it's THAT big of a deal.

i'm fine with no rims sizes because at it was said earlier it would be a huge update and knowing pd, they'd take into account the heavier weight for the different sizes etc. i think all the rims are perfect sizes for most cars. a greater selection however would be amazing

GT5 needs more rim options plain and simple.

If you dont like changing your rims/paint/performance, it's cool, no problem.

Thats why they are called "options"
